Has anyone ever actually been asked to provide material as "alter fodder." I ask because I've never been, and I know I've added materials to my alters that I didn't have any physical backing for. Maybe it depends on the alterer.

Yes. I've had merchants ask for the most common of items, but mostly they nitpick for items you couldn't walk into a field and pull out on the average hunt. Then again, I ask for a lot of crazy shit, and I think the GM is hoping I just go away.

The best ones to catch are the ones doing a room full of people, and have been working for 2-3 hours already. They just want to get the shit done, and I can't say as I blame them.
