So I'm retraining back to sword and shield from THW. I don't quite remember what I need and since it's been quite a few levels, I figured I'll need to go a little bit different.

I simply just want to go back to sword and shield. I don't want to change anything else around if I don't absolutely have to.

What do I drop and train in? I'll post current skills if necessary. Just looking for the basics though.

Thanks in advance!

Depending on how you're converting points, you could just straight drop THW and put it all into 2x Sword/Board.

Most people will tell you to drop the dodge and increase other stuff with the points, but if you're happy with your lores and spells I would just keep them.

Agreed with TLS.

If you can straight up trade your THW for 2x weapon/shield, that'd be the best route. If you can't get full 2x shield use, and aren't to attached to four attacks for your focused mstrike, you could drop MOC back to 70 ranks (or 60, if you don't mind one less FoF offset).

Also, the one extra rank in Harness Power could be dropped. I doubt that one extra mana point is worth the 5 or 10 MTP's. I also doubt the one extra rank of Dodging is adding much to your DS, which will garner you either 5/3 or 10/6 (depending on how the system is seeing it) TP's back.

According to my calculations, your THW training has cost 1128 PTP & 564 MTP. Switching over to Sword or Blunt and board would cost 1692 PTP and 282 MTP. It does look like you'll need roughly 450 extra PTP's to cover the switch over.

You may want to drop down to 55 ranks of MoC to cover the TP differential...If Misun is in GoS, you could look at temp. dropping climb/swim to 30 ranks for more points.

It is also more than likely cheaper to 3x shield/.5x dodge and use 1609 to help the EBP issue.

Thanks everyone! I was actually able to straight switch without losing any dodge and 2x in shield. I didn't have to manipulate anything else either. Sweet and easy, just what I wanted.
