I was trying to plan ahead for my bard training path. If i change around my training, and do 1x armor, 2x polearm, 1x air lore, 1x pf, 1x harness, by level 25 I can have 425 and 1020.

I was thinking of making an actual hyrbid where i could sufficiently pick up a lance or when i hit 30 make use of 1030.

After 25 I was going to concentrate on doing 1x bard song only and catching up on manipulation lore, at least up to 15 ranks, and mental mana control.

This way around 35 I should be able to make use of 1013 and 1030, as well as have decent defense due to 400s buffs and bard song buffs. I would be able to also swing a lance with a nice AS.

Any ideas on how well this might or might not work?

The lack of any CM is going to hurt you as a polearmer, but I'm not sure quite how much.

Otherwise, looks fine to me.

I'm gonna echo what Lumi said, the lack of CM will hurt you at least a small bit in the long run. How much so will depend on race though, b. gnomes need every ounce of AS they can manage while giants have less of a dire need for it.

Also, without the manipulation lore to back it up you'll need to swap to playing an instrument to make 1030 really shine. Its able to be done pretty easily in a script but it will leave you a little more vulnerable then most while you have it out.

Third bit, if your not gettings lots of outside spells do try to get 5 more ranks of 400's by 60 or so. The TD of 430 can be invaluable in some places.
