I downloaded Lich fine, and then I installed to registry. When I start the game it doesn't come on at all. There's no login, nothing. I uninstalled psinet. I also use firefox. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

What version of Lich are you using? What are you using to log into the game?

Hi Tillman
this one
32-bit Windows binary package:
* Latest Stable Release (v3.50)
And I tried both SGE and website log on. I think it will work, but just think I must be doing something wrong.

When I installed Lich, the SGE wouldn't work at all - wouldn't even come up - until I rebooted, for some reason. It was as if my computer never even registered that I double clicked the thing. Every time I log in via the Lich program instead of SGE, it does it again until reboot. I have no idea why, but rebooting fixes it.

That's Shaelun's version. Try my version from lichproject.org.

Hey tillmen
Just downloaded your verison and ruby. Seemed like it was going to work. I used SGE. It connected, but as I clicked the play button on lich nothing happens. Any idea how to fix it?
thanks

There should be a file named something like debug-#.txt in lich\temp. If there's not, you're probably on Vista or Win7 and Lich doesn't have permission to write to whatever directory it's in. Another possibility is that your registry setting for the Simu launcher is screwed up from messing around with the old version of Lich and PsiNet.

I dont' see Temp. I click on the folder zip file (after I extracted it), I see a lich folder, then a scripts and Lich application (looks like a ruby). I don't see that name in the scripts tho.

Move the Lich folder to your Documents folder and try again.

These are the files I see under the folder "scripts"
I moved it to my documents
go2.lic
infomon.lic
log.lic
repository.lic
updater.lic
highlight_links.lic
lnet.lic
narost.lic
spell-list.xml
Also, I did uninstall psinet but I did uninstall the other lich. should I uninstall that one too?

Move the Lich folder to your Documents folder and try again.

Thanks for your help

Note: If running Crap Windows Vista and want to run Lich, Tillmen's version at lichproject.org is the way to go. Delete all the old crap download again, put the Lich in a Doc folder and blood stops coming out of your eyes and nose.
