This was in my local news and I happened to be about 3 blocks away at a karaoke bar drunk out of my mind when this happened. Figured I would share. Read the whole thing so that you get to realize this isnt the first time this cop shot a person drunk. LULZ BALTIMORE.

Tyrone Brown, a 32-year-old former Marine from East Baltimore, was out with his sister and her friend enjoying the Mount Vernon (http://www.baltimoresun.com/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/baltimore/mount-vernon-PLGEO100100603012200.topic) club scene early Saturday when he may have taken one of his trademark jokes too far. Glancing at a woman in an alley off East Eager Street, he put his hands on her behind.
Apparently, this asshole had the, "groping some chick's ass at a club", joke trademarked.

Groping strangers is never considered 'okay'. WTF was that jackass thinking? I don't care how much of a "joke" some guy thinks it is, if he gropes me, he SHOULD at the least get a kick in the balls. If it were me, I'd definitely try to do some damage to him.
He definitely deserved an ass beating, Marine or not. Killing him was rather extreme, though I doubt all that happened was that he groped her and then said he was sorry when she called him on it.

As with anything else, neither side is being reasonable.
"He was in a situation where an apology should have been accepted," Reginald Dargan said. "It's a young kid — gone for nothing. It don't make no sense."
An apology should definitely not have been accepted. An arrest would have been nice.
What happened next is not in dispute — the officer pulled out his department-issued Glock handgun and fired at the unarmed Brown 13 times from just a few feet away.
That's some murder 2 shit.

I love how him being a former Marine is brought into this, like it has any bearing on it at all. ZOMG MARINE that will get headlines GO!
13 shots from a few feet and only 6 hits? Piss poor.
Sucks either way but the cop seems very much in the wrong based on the little information that's in the article.

Agreed.
The spokesman said the officer refused to make a statement and declined to submit to a breath test to determine whether he had been drinking alcohol or how much he had consumed.
This should have been mandatory, not optional. And really does not defend his actions in the least.
If the investigation determines that the shooting was not justified, Tshamba could face criminal charges.
Not that we're getting the full or complete story; however, if this unfolds as stated in the article - then the shooter should expect charges soon. And at the very least - a pink slip from the department.

Touching a girls butt doesn't give her companion the right to murder you.

I think they were just integrating his past into the story, they also said he was a grilling enthusiast and liked the Orioles... I'm curious what story the cop will tell though. Most people I've seen that play grab-ass with strangers usually back down pretty quickly, I doubt he intended to start a fight with the guy.
Most probable is that he grabbed her ass and was like 'my bad' then snickered and went to walk away, meanwhile Mr. Man decides that he's just a scumbag and wants retribution for the disrespect. So he pulls his gun and tries to arrest him, unfortunately he's sloshed and when he sees guy shifting back and away, he assumes that he's reaching for a weapon and unloads(literally) into the guy. oh shit moment, no Breathalyzer, no statement, oops!
so that's what happened, I saw it on the interwebs
Honestly I think it has to do with explaining to the readership why its news. Cops shoot so many unarmed people in Baltimore that they almost have to explain why its worth reading about by saying...and it wasnt a crack dealer this time he was a Marine! This is the second time in like 7 days a cop has opened fire on an unarmed person in Mt. Vernon which is suppost to be the good part of time.

No, it doesn't, and I didn't say it did.
I seriously doubt that was 'all' that happened though. Either way, both sides were in the wrong.

This, and what Bob said.
I don't believe the guy just bumped into her and touched her ass and was like, "Oh pardon me!" Did it mean he should have been gunned down? No, but the assertion that she should have just accepted his apology without wanting further action against him is just as absurd. Both parties are idiots.

Perhaps. But what if it was the girl in your avatar and you were the black guy, what would you have done?

follow up of a sort, assuming you didn't see it in the first ones links
I will go ahead and say the cop should be hung out to dry. Fire him, jail him, take his pension if he has it or whatever.

Am I the only that thought..
'Holy shit. 13 shots? Isn't that a little excessive even if they had been in a fight? One shot would have dropped him.'
There's never any justifiable cause to shoot at someone 13 times in this kind of situation. Jesus.
There's no justification to shoot at someone in this kind of situation, period.

Even the guys friends are not claiming that. He grabbed the girls ass straight up no one is disputing that. Im not suprised either that shit goes on all the time at clubs all over the country. Its incredibly bad behavior, not really deserving a death sentence in my opinion. Not too piss Anticor off but the guy did fight in Iraq its not like he spent his life grabbing ass he did some good things with his life too and well never know if it was a single bad drunken decision or not because some asshole who lives on my tax money shot him 6 times at point blank range.

I don't think he deserved to be shot for what he did. I don't think any woman should be expected to feel like an apology is enough when she's physically violated like that though.
There are assholes/douchebags in every walk of life, including the military. Doing time in the military or a warzone does not excuse piss poor behavior later on, IMO. I don't think his service is really relevant one way or another in this story.
I hope the cop is hung out to dry, but I'm just saying that the assertion that an apology should have been more than enough for the wronged woman is incorrect.

You said earlier in the thread you hate people pulling the "Hes in the military card".

No, I hate the media bringing the military card in when it doesn't belong. And it really doesn't have any bearing what so ever with the actions of the individual or the actions of the cop.
Fair enough. There better be an interesting thread today cause no WoW for 24 hours is going to be sad panda time.

Didn't realize it was the cop's girlfriend that got her ass grabbed.
