I've came back after a two or so year break and frankly am at a bit of a loss as to what I was trying to do with my cleric! I think I was trying to go for a pure caster. My stats seem a bit off to me though as well as my skills. If anyone can give me help I'd appreciate it. I'd looked through the forums but there is so much information to take it, I am trying to educate myself as best as possible. But any advice here would help

Drop the SA and go pure CS. It isn't good for clerics in general, and particularly not ones with DEX like yours. If you really have to bolt, reroll.

Train spells, spells, spells and all of them cleric. (204, 107 is fine but nothing higher until you have level+21 in the 300s). 304, 307, 310 and 318 all give benefits which are not capped at level, so by overtraining cleric spells you get the bonuses and better versions of them sooner.

Channel 302 at whatever your god hates.

As a dwarf you get a nice big meditation bonus. Once you run out of mana, run to a node and meditate. You get an extra 19 per pulse with those stats which will shoot you straight back to full mana and ready to go out and channel 302 again.

Once you are level 12 you can start using 312 on other targets, but make sure you fully charge and channel it to get value for the mana you put in. Don't worry about running out. Just run to a node and meditate to get it all straight back again.

actually you need your cleric spells at your level +21 so @ 10 you should have 31 cleric spells for maximum cs gain

if you're still in the 30 day fast-migration period, i'd suggest you just pick up a claid and melee stuff. 307, 211 and 215 will give you a pretty decent AS until you can reliably hunt with your mana.

i am actually hunting decently well casting. I used a claid until 10 though.
my cs is 75, ds in offensive is like 118 and in def 210, going better than i though so I will stick with casting a few days to decide if I want to switch back to the claid for the last 2 weeks

Cleric mana-wise is the easiest pure first 30 days. Although it's even easier to pick up that sanct'ed flamberge in RR and go to town holding the undead.

Take minor to 7. Aim for cleric at level +21. 40 clerics spells and the best version of 318 is quite possible at level 18, though you might be a level or two later.

If this is a character that was started a year ago and then left, you will not have any stat rearrangements. The stats are fine for CS, though if you had some stat rearrangements available I would give yourself a bit more room for growth with WIS and turn some of the DEX into AGI.

On the other lores it depends on your priorities. If you are mostly wanting to hunt solo, then keep 1x religion until about 40 ranks before thinking about other lores.

My shattered cleric's current skills at level 16. Sprite and messages to level 2 and then 302 all the way, except for a bit of 312 on invasion critters and waving an occasional sorc wand.

At my level I should have cleric spells +21, then you say 31... but yet you have 19 at level 10? I am just confused as to what you are saying I should actually have it at?

Anyhow yes, shifting more out of major and still working out getting rid of spell aim etc..

getting enough ranks to be level+21 isn't easy. even if you start off tripling spells, it takes a while to reach while trying to get 200's and 100's

i was just saying the +21 means whatever level you are at +21 cleric spells and yea you can not shoot for it right out of the gate, sorry to be confusing

level 10 = 31 cleric spells
level 20 = 41 cleric spells
level 30 = 51 cleric spells

and so on

Don't worry much about it as long as you are heading in that direction. Getting there a level or two later than you might otherwise do won't hurt.

The big thing is to make the most of your mana by getting your channeling tactics sorted out, and to meditate for fast mana recovery. The training is about things that make 5-20% difference. Doing channeling right and meditation are things that make 50-200% difference.
