I'll start

You search the shelfae chieftain.
It had a morning star, a leather helm, a wooden shield.
It had 333 silvers on it.
You gather the remaining 333 coins.
It had an uncut diamond on it!
Interesting, it carried a drake greataxe on it.
It also left an ayanad crystal behind.
It had nothing else of value.
A chieftain crumbles into dust.

You see Ifor.
He appears to be a Dwarf.
He is shorter than average and appears to be very young. He has ale-brown eyes and copper skin. He has a bald head. He has a thick mustache and beard.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing an asshat...

But having read the original post I do think it is humorously WTF'able.

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. The last few days I've sort of felt like I'm playing out a scenario from the movie The Crow.

A few nights ago I was attacked and killed randomly by a full group of people. I highlighted all their names, and have been exacting my revenge on them one by one. Often times they have no idea why I'm targeting them and so I have to remind them.

I've got 3 out of the 4 so far.

I'm not joking when I say you act like a fat empath with 6 pages of fluff that sits around all day eating chocolate and giggling and refers to wounds as "owies" and healing as "healies", boxes and spells as "boxies" and "spellies" and all that other gay shit. You come across as someone that watches Hannah Montana and has Jonas brothers posters on your wall.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this plethora of gayer than Freddy Mercury posts anyway? Typically a thread with a title like this one would be for posting logs of stuff that you would only see happen in Shattered, not a clip of you killing some random critter that is no different than what happens in Prime or Plat.

Unless you're a fucking retard that just doesn't get most things. Warclaidhm is already looking cooler than you.

You see Garth.
He appears to be an Erithian.
He is tall and appears to be very young. He has bulging silver eyes and dusky skin. He has tonsured, matted pearly white hair with a large bald spot. He has an oval face, a large nose and a cleft chin.
He has a fractured and bleeding left leg.
He has a scar across his neck, old battle scars on his right arm, old battle scars on his left arm, old battle scars on his left leg, old battle scars on his right hand, an old battle scar across his chest, an old battle scar across his back, developed slurred speech, and a scar across his face.
He is bleeding from the left leg.
He is wearing some full leather, a crystal amulet, a fang-fringed bronze leather pouch, a bristly boarhide pack, a pair of fur-lined boots, some shaggy bearskin leggings, a round otter fur cap, and a reinforced shield.
>

You say, "Just stay there and slowly bleed out. It'll be useful. I'll even keep you alive."

You realize there are some important matters you should tend to . . . later.

I fell victim to roving murderers last night in my resting spot. Okay, fine.

As I read the log of how I ended up dead, I got a little annoyed that Ron came to the Temple Altar and killed me two more times after I decayed. That was just weak.

You can read the whole log if you want, but if not at least scroll down to the last two lines. I don't know which GM did that, but it was pretty damn awesome.

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

Lady Madam's group just came through a candlelit hallway.

Madam appears to be focusing her thoughts while chanting softly...
Madam gestures at you.
The force of Madam's power warps the air as it surges toward you!
CS: +128 - TD: +57 + CvA: +12 + d100: +98 == +181
Warding failed!
A nebulous haze shimmers into view around you, plunging inward to envelop your left hand!
... 15 points of damage!
All the fingernails are melted as the left hand takes a grazing strike.
... 25 points of damage!
Left hand quakes as several fingers disappear one by one.
You are stunned for 2 rounds!
... 40 points of damage!
With a flash of red spray, left hand disintegrates into nothing!
Cloudy tendrils creep outward from your left hand before vanishing into your left arm.
... 35 points of damage!
Precision strike cuts cleanly across upper arm, causing forearm and elbow to fall to ground.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

...departing in 14 mins...
Madam meditates over Ron.
Madam takes Ron's nervous system damage.

The world before you dissolves into a grainy montage of color...

When you die, you are born in a room that is not a sanctuary. Aragorn and Arwen have now started to kill everyone who dies and reappears. I think that goes beyond griefing.

Please sanctify the rooms where you reappear when you die so that people at least have a chance.

I love this description, it is very cool. "So many double leathers" is awesome. If you have to steal a persona from the media, Scanner is definitely a good one to steal from.
The GM "The Greatest Alterer" (or whatever they were called) came up with all of those except the backpack. It took us 3 minutes to do all the features and items. Prime was never that enjoyable.

Citizens, merchants and assorted dregs of society jostle against you before the great wooden gates of Wehnimer's Landing. Harried guards and militiamen try to keep the chaos to a minimum, but it is hard to keep track of those entering, let alone leaving, this large trading post. A dirt path encircling the wooden palisade of the town leads east and southwest. Nailed prominently to the wooden wall beside the gate is a sign you really should read. You also see a Wayside Inn.

He is tall and appears to be an adult. He has piercing blue-grey eyes and alabaster skin. He has thinning, unkempt grey-brown hair. He has an unshaven face.
He has old battle scars on his right leg.
He is holding a sturdy black cane swept with stylized flames along the bottom in his right hand and a small bottle of Vicodin in his left hand.
He is wearing a stylish grey jacket with soft leather padding on the elbows, an adequately rockin' t-shirt, a pair of well-fitted jeans, and some ratty white sneakers.

I have just decided he, she, them, (it?) is a social retard incapable of meritorious discussion.

When I see this person post I envision a 50 year old man, flying a pencil through the air making spaceship noises, and then shouting out that Captain Eraser has abolished the aliens from Planet X again, much to the disappointment of their aging parents. Said parents then use the bib wrapped around their adult childs neck to collect the spittle and drool from their chin.

and there IS a history behind this.. I played GS in 4th grade, around 1995. I was a Giant warrior named Andreaus Shaplanstone and I would hunt forest trolls in upper trollfang, back when they were level 4 and in this little kiddie area (I doubt anyone remembers) This is also when weapons still dropped, as I remember finding one or two and striking it rich.

Danjirland was always a sure death, and wandering onto Glatoph utter insanity because of the level of critter. So, shattered has been much more like GS was for me when I was younger, and killing stuff in that particular area brings back fond memories and a bit of a thrill.

You're being amused by what's typically the mundane of the game. Gemstone isn't fun because of the repetitive text. Most people will have seen the majority of crits by the time they get out of the catacombs. The entertaining part of gemstone is interactions with other players, and occasionally you get something fun out of some of the more interesting creatures. What you posted though, a simple flare, is simply a result of a lookup table. If you want you can go read through all the different damage type crits ranks 0-9 and you'll have a blast.

Nobody paid me. And just because the fame list hasn't been updated doesn't mean MW isn't doing his thing.

I'll be updating everybody again right before 30 days is up. Will probably be my last update on the lists.

So why'd you do it? Based on your post it seemed like it made your life pretty fucking shitty for a couple of weeks and it wasn't even your character.

To see if he could. Personal satisfaction. Being King of the Mountain, even if it's just for a day. If I had anywhere near the coding ability of some of the people here, I probably would have raced too.

There's no way in hell my fiance or my job would let me take timeout for two weeks to play a video game 24/7. I'm not even sure I could muster the drive even if I had no obligations for two weeks.

I can play from work, and my boyfriend is 1,000 miles away. It makes temporary insanity like that a little more possible. As for drive... I'm a competitive wench. I'll go pretty far to "win," especially if I have someone right at my heels (or just a little ahead of me).

Is the Legend Bar {or whatever it's called} active in Shattered?

I was already racing on two of my own accounts as well. MW just happened to come out with an early lead and eventually the win. The other 3 were within 10k of him. He just happened to die the least.

Not for nothing, having 5 characters to deal with did cause a lot more strife than 2 would have. In fact, I broke down and made our empath heal-only bitch half way through just to get one of them off my plate. But I'd say the work for 4 is almost the same as the work for 2.

Interesting question. Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, I don't have the scripting ability to pull it off. It would take me too long to figure out Ruby/regular expressions, and by the time I had a script I'm comfortable with, names would already be up in the bar. It took several years, but I finally learned how to tell when I'm out of my league, and to shut the competitive urges down.

In Prime, it's an area that's dedicated to those who reach Legend status in their profession first. I believe Legend is considered Level 40.

I can't find it now, but In Prime, the first person to hit Legend in each class got something (a mug?) in Hearthstone with their name engraved on it.

Is the Legend Bar active in Plat? Because I know it wasn't there when it started, but since I left before anyone became legend, I don't know if it activated.
