And then I immediately get logged out.

So yeah: ...Wtf? I don't have Ruby now -- And when I try to install Ruby, it doesn't install Ruby, just a bunch of files, but not Ruby, itself, with the log-in entry.

I used The Lich (force Wizard Mode) for this. I have fakestormfront.txt -- And when the SGE launches, with Stormfront selected, it stays as StormFront.

Anyone even want to take a crack at this?

The screenshot shows Lich version 3.57, which is Shaelun's last release. I think it's a couple years old by now. The fakestormfront.txt file is only useful for my version of Lich.

So "Lich" is a separate entity, entirely, from "The Lich?"

I thought you just renamed it as some sort of updated version. Weird. Anyway, do you have an AIM handle you can PM me in order to debug this massacre?

Not 100% sure what the cleanup involves for Shaelun's though. Don't know anything about it.

I have no idea why the old links aren't purged, or at least given warnings. They're the cause of so much unnecessary trouble.

So:

Here's what happens... And I'm tired as shit, but I'll give you an idea:

SIMU's Launcher *and* SGE file are tweaked that if you have PsiNet and/or Lich, that it defaults to a (.bat" ) file directory. What you have to actually do, which is complicated, is uninstall Lich and Ruby in Safe Mode. Then you need to Uninstall PsiNet.

Then you need to delete the PsiNet Sage registry.

Then you need to re-install the Launcher to the Simu folder.

Then you need to install Lich, run Lich with fakestormfront.txt in the Lich folder, log in once, with Lich.

Then you need to install PsiNet.

Then you need to log in once with PsiNet.

Then you need to delete the SGE. Then reinstall the SGE and make damn certain that it's installed into the SIMU folder (or wherever the Launcher is.)

You need to make sure, just like with with the Launcher re-writing its directory folder that you're installing into C:\Progra~1\Simu. I think GS and Co. tried to implement some funky business to create some kind of fucked up redirected installation for both PsiNet and Lich.

Then refresh the (what should be) Installed-with-PsiNet command bar in the Install Tab in Lich.

Then close Lich and open up SGE and run it with StormFront selected and fakestormfront.txt will make it happen.
