This is a conservative estimate. I made an application that keeps a running guess while watching my xp/pulse that is putting me at 100 a few days earlier.

I started a day late, so if someone is as awesome as me and logged in earlier they'll beat me by a few hours.

GMs and players have been fooling with me, but it isn't too bad. Was getting kind of annoying with them spawning creatures every 20 minutes on players trying to rest but apparently they got bored of it.

As far as hitting 100... Gotta forget the Prime mentality. It is just a numbers game now with an automated script doing the work.

Probably a combination of hunting scripts and artisan scripts. Most likely wrote his/her own and doesn't want to share em yet.

Or MA'ing empath and locksmith at table+hunting script= pretty damn quick levels.

Just remember there is hundreds of ways to skin the same cat.

Though I'd have no problem at all running a script while I'm off doing other stuff not at the computer. I just can't code much more than really basic stuff.

actually I refuse to MA because it defeats the purpose of the game and also incites warnings in some situations, its also a lot of work and harder to manage. (and trust me I have the credibility because in GS3 I took a human sorcerer built for growth with plenty of CM to level 50, then MA'd both characters to level 125 when clerics were all stuck at level 70 because Illoke hadnt' come out yet and mages were too tough for them..)

The GMs are still screwing with people, but it seems to have slowed, or maybe I was just afk too much today to notice since I had to work.

I just wish the scripts would stop dying. The first two days I was having a miserable time of it. Constant script problems and lich losing all my settings. After resetting everything up about 4 times I finally installed a separate lich directory for each of my characters and that seems to work. Scripts are still wandering off in strange places now and then. The second morning when I woke up one of my guys was in Zul of all places! He had made it through the damned tree with 0 perception and past the ferry and the cart ride all the way into the city. Now that was one hell of a wrong turn in wander. So I made the best of the situation and joined GOS while I was there. ;)

It is possible if you add in XXX. But you have to have not been killed at all and averaged 35 experience a pulse. Or at least when I ran the numbers at 35 experience a pulse you're over the mark of needing 265k experience.

Mine just don't save on logout I think because I don't really 'quit'... Recently it's been dying in other ways. But All-in-all I'm splendidly happy with the performance of Lich and my scripts.

Sure there's been a lot of deaths, mainly from before I had an empath. But they should be coming out on the other side of fletching sometime tomorrow around level 14 or so. Then my headache really begins...

Don't get me wrong. Now that I have it I couldn't imagine going back to playing the game without lich. Holy crap it makes the gaming experience so much nicer and less tedious.

But yeah, I leveled up to 6 the hard way then started fletching, still have a day or two on that I think before it finishes, then it's back to killing and earning prestige so I can master GOS.

As far as Lich not saving settings.. Where is your Lich folder located, and are you running as Administrator? It may not have file permissions. I run my Lich folders from the Public folder or Desktop as Administrator and it seems to save things fine.

I'm still on target for a noonish June 1st level 15.

I hate scripting low levels. It really is the pits.
They're getting way better now with every level though. Might actually start being fun soon.


Scripting in general I have always really enjoyed. I like how everything works together. I hate that I don't have time for it anymore, but it's still pretty fun!

The Perfect Storm
This is roughly the maximum someone could be, sans any immediate xp gain bonuses. They'd have to of been given a fat RP reward to start, and kept themselves saturated with bounties and such, grouped on a public node

It's more about what you're hunting than what you're hunting with. Some areas just have crappy spawn rates, or you're under-hunting too far below your level to get fried easily.

Once you hit 10 getting a vultite shield is critical (or some kind of equiv DS bonus). Without it you're not going to be able to hunt things which keep your hunt times down.

Under-hunting is ideal in the current environment, but it should be ~4 levels below you at the most. Exceptions for things that swarm easily -- you can hunt rats until 7 or 8 for example. Avoid AFK scripting creatures with any kind of CM or special attack that can unexpectedly reduce your defense, drop your weapons, or stun you. Lynx, dirges, warfarers, pookas, etc. Ideal creatures are just the plain old weapon swingers -- kobolds, orcs (lesser/burrow/greater/dark.. Not Gray), ghouls (lesser, greater, master), giants, trolls, zombies, as well as a lot of non-pouning beasts like crabs, bears, etc.

Totally depends on your situation. If you're staying alive with a polearm and keeping your hunt times reasonable (5 or 6 mins average), I'd definitely be doing that -- bards should be doing really well in shattered with polearms because of all their built-in utility.

I had to switch the hunter I'm leveling over to sword/shield pretty early on because of a lack of spell ups. He kept getting ruined without the defense, even under-hunting 5 or 6 levels. Sucked waking up every morning to find my afk hunter all dead and stuff, with Death's Sting.

For whatever reason hunting levels 11 to 14 always sucked for me, even in Prime. It makes for a good time to do fletching. A lot of good afk hunting options open up at 15 or 16, at least around the landing.

I was in rats until 9. Then started fletching. I probably won't hunt until I get to 25 or so.

I've been script hunting almost the entire time now with my one character and am about to hit 15. Right now, my hunts are averaging around 5-7 mins per, using a 4x battle axe and self spelled. Been focusing on hated enemies for Sunfist, so after the first couple of levels in rats I switched to trogs and then to orcs in the Landing area. I probably won't do fletching/forging for exp for a while longer yet at this rate.

Oddly I actually understand that feeling. When I used to play I MA'd 4 accounts at once and it got to be so mechanical that the only thing interesting about it was watching the 4 shoot past each other occasionally for various reasons. Im pretty sure thats why I quit lol.

Is Shattered supposed to have a free trial? When I entered the game via SGE on the first day, I got a "click OK for your 30 day trial" box or something like that, but I got charged for it anyway, and billing told me there's no trial period for Shattered.

With this character (paladin) I have seen from 900 xp per hr t 3700 xp per hr. since I also play in prime I dont run him all the time but I think today = 1week so far and I should be lvl 12 when I get home. probably half way thru if the xp per hour stays up.


Is Shattered supposed to have a free trial? When I entered the game via SGE on the first day, I got a "click OK for your 30 day trial" box or something like that, but I got charged for it anyway, and billing told me there's no trial period for Shattered.

I gotta figure out how to hunt my wizard and empath with bigshot. They suck too hard to use their own mana to hunt. That or I gotta get injured more for my empath's sake.

Yeah, I figured I would have a harder time with my cleric than with my wizard, but she comes in fried with almost a full head of mana still. My wizard runs out of mana before she fries a lot of time even with leech.

It doesn't seem like much has changed from the sound of it, but when I leveled my wizard in GS3 the only way I was really able to be able to go out and fry every time was by stockpiling the shit out of charged 40 use gold wands, but I usually had people helping me with mana too or it woulda been almost pointless.

But whenever I ran out of wands at those levels, solo hunting started to blow really hard as far as being able to fry. The killing was never a problem.

Easiest way to power level (outside of healing) is to script pick locks on doors. There's one in one of the Rogue's guilds, three in Illoke, and I think a few doors in a low-level area that SHM used for his wizard (thief gnolls?).

I was averaging 2K exp an hour running a script to pick the three doors in Illoke every six minutes and resting at the node there.

Oddly I actually understand that feeling. When I used to play I MA'd 4 accounts at once and it got to be so mechanical that the only thing interesting about it was watching the 4 shoot past each other occasionally for various reasons. Im pretty sure thats why I quit lol.

Well, these days, the run around town only gives you the 2.5k needed to hit level 1. So if you were to actually build and run this script to level up the required 3,029 times... then, yes. Yes, you do win.

Deathravin, I have a script built that enabled me to run 5 chars (swinging empath, bard, paladin, rogue, and a bolting wizard) in a warcamp with very little input. I'm sure you could modify it to make it so that it would work with whatever chars you have and had no input.

Less people play, but honestly, especiallyl at this EG, seems like a much more close knit community. You make alot of friends...and enemies, if you want. Sure there's some that grief, but that's just part of it.

I love the fact of being able to AFK script and do other things, and come back and find shit. I don't have multiple accounts, I'm able to get spells from alot of people easily using waggle.

Nah, if you're not making an ass of yourself you'll find it's pretty easy to get someone to throw you in their resting spellup routine. In fact, as an incentive to get you back in the game, I'll offer you free clerical and wizardly spellups after every hunt, assuming you're in the same region of the game as I am.
