Anyone know the updated RT formula for mstriking? I know that there was an update in 2008 reducing the maximum RT and I was wondering if it was a hard cap or it floated with the formula.

Cap is 11 or 12 seconds with a claid. Not sure on a specific formula. And while weighed down it has never gone above that.

I'm pretty sure that's up to date...

Whatever RT you have for 3 strikes, that's your cap.

I swing a claid 3 times in 10 seconds, and 5 times in 10 seconds.

A maul, 5 times in 9 seconds.

The formula on krakiipedia:

RT = weapon base speed + (number of strikes-1)(weapon base speed/2) + 1 - AGIDEX modifier

appears to be inaccurate.

Did some quick testing with the following results: (AGIDEX bonus is 26 => AGIDEX RT modifier is -2 seconds)

Lance: (base speed 9)
4 swings: 14 seconds
3 swings: 14 seconds
2 swings: 12 seconds
Two-handed sword (base speed 8)
4 swings: 13 seconds
3 swings, 13 seconds
2 swings, 11 seconds
Maul (base speed 7)
4 swings: 12 seconds
3 swings: 12 seconds
2 swings: 9 seconds
Halberd (base speed 6)
4 swings: 11 seconds
3 swings: 11 seconds
2 swings: 8 seconds
Quarter staff (base speed 5)
4 swings: 10 seconds
3 swings: 10 seconds
2 swings: 7 seconds
Longsword (base speed 4)
4 swings: 9 seconds
3 swings: 9 seconds
2 swings: 6 seconds
Short sword (base speed 3)
4 swings: 8 seconds
3 swings: 8 seconds
2 swings: 5 seconds
Rapier (base speed 2)
4 swings: 7 seconds
3 swings: 7 seconds
2 swings: 5 seconds
Dagger (base speed 1)
4 swings: 6 seconds
3 swings: 6 seconds
2 swings: 5 seconds

As someone mentioned your 3-swing RT is your max mstrike RT.
No amount of encumberance can increase this. Your 2-swing RT will be increased by encumberance until it reaches this cap.

The krakiipedia formula is does not predict most of these results. The only results which conform to the formula are the 2- and 3-swing RTs for the maul and halberd, and the 2-swing RTs for the two-handed sword and lance.

At first glance I'm not really sure what to make of this. If someone with a different AGIDEX modifier does something similar and posts the results that might shed some more light on what an accurate formula would look like.

my agidex is 70

Claid
2x 8 seconds
3x+ 10 seconds

Maul
2x 6 seconds
3x+ 9 seconds

Quarterstaff
2x 5 seconds
3x+ 7 seconds

It appears that:

min mstrike RT = 5 seconds, for all weapons
max mstrike RT = weapon base speed + 7 - AGIDEX modifier

2-swing RT is weird. You'll notice that for both Brute and me, a 2x strike with a claid takes 2 seconds longer than a 2x strike with a maul, but a 3x+ strike with a claid takes only 1 second longer than a 3x+ strike with a maul. Am I the only who finds that odd?

Anyway, it appears that:

2x strike RT = base speed + 5 - AGIDEX mod, for base speed > 8
2x strike RT = base speed + 4 - AGIDEX mod, for base speed < 8

These are consistent with the numbers posted so far. If anyone notices that their RT is not accurately predicted by the above formulas, I'd be appreciative if you'd post it so we can go back to the drawing board.

-4 RT with dex/agi 54 bonus combined.

4 attacks with 3 RT weapon (katar) in 6 seconds.

And when fixstated with 70 bonus combined is 4 attacks with 3 RT weapon (katar) in 5 seconds (2 seconds with tonis)

Good stuff. Conforms to the formula.

Also, does Song of Tonis not wear off after one mstrike the way Haste does? If it persists, that's pretty sick.
