I am confused. It is supposedly non magic. I bought an invar maul in hopes of e-blading it.

I can edge it, but I cannot e-blade it? I am confused. Both should only work on non magic, correct? Or was this changed at some point?


Voodoo '411 maul' to 'PREPARE 411', 'CAST AT maul'.
You gesture and invoke the powers of the elements for the Elemental Blade spell...
Your spell is ready.

You gesture at a massive invar maul with a wire-wrapped haft.
A bolt of energy leaps from your hand to the maul but is deflected. The energy dissipates into the air.



Voodoo '902 maul' to 'PREPARE 902', 'CAST AT maul'.
You trace a series of glowing runes while chanting the phrase for Minor Elemental Edge...
Your spell is ready.

You gesture at a massive invar maul with a wire-wrapped haft.
A bright glow forms around the invar maul for a moment, then seems to seep into the weapon, giving it an inner glow.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

probably a nerf. I know naginata used to be e-bladable? since it has a natural enchant I don't think it will take the eblade

It will still take an eblade. On the maul have you considered that it might be enhancive? That might explain the odd behavior.

I purchased 2 different ones from a playershop, both for 6K. Still, why would edge work then?

It might just be an oversight. The edge code is so old and it's barely used so it's definitely possible the GMs never updated it to consider if an item was an enhancive. It's pretty simple to test, buy the cheapest urnon forged weapon you can from a playershop, if it's not ebladeable, you've got evidence they changed something.
