First off a big thanks to Gerbill on telling me about this site. Sad I didnt know it sooner. But for those that dont know yeah Im leaving the lands. After 7 years I have seen it all. I know we all have our opinions about the upcoming changes. But my departure is not about that but because some that enjoy tormenting others. We need somehow to remove these folks as that really hurts the lands. I know of about 75 people that have left or will leave some to the new changes but most tell me in private the Gms are rude, they dont care, and wont enforce their written rules on everyone equally. They play favorites. I have seen this myself. But I truly hope those that stay please help the lands and get these idiots who harass out of the lands or stop their pollution of the lands. I remenber the old days where that behavior wasnt tolerated. We had Tree party hunts everynight. But in saying goodbye I want to thank those who spelled healed rezzed me. My family, parents and God parents and to my most prized treasure, my wife Ophe who was the best thing to ever happen to me in the lands. I wish everyone well. Thanks and be blessed.

what I don't really understand about "retirement" is this:

If you don't like the freakin' game or its players...Just stop coming in. Why announce that you're retiring for 3 stupid weeks? If you really need to, log in..get a heavy backpack or 3, shove all your gear and shit in there...grab a note, hand it off to a "loved one" and go away.

Unless, of course, you really need the attention and Gemstone has become some weird, sick, twisted home for your brain...then, of course, it's not that you're going to retire...but hope that enough people come out of the wood work to defend you and that's just...well...it's gay.
