a veil-iron hilted black khopesh (6x permanent mechanical flares)

Wrought from a black alloy, the perfect darkness of this weapon's blade is tainted with exceedingly fine but exceptionally bright streaks of some white metal. The veil-iron hilt appears to have maintained its natural color, but its faded luster and the dents on the pommel would seem to indicate that this khopesh had many former owners. Etched with a cracked silvery script about halfway up the blade is the solitary word, "Darkstar." Two thick metal rods are attached to the handle of the khopesh. They are angled so that they lie parallel to one another, against the length of the weapon. Tightly coiled steel springs are clearly visible beneath the rods. The springs appear to be in absolutely perfect condition. You also notice a small enchanter's mark.

You carefully examine the hilted black khopesh and determine that the weight is about 5 pounds.

In action:
You swing a veil-iron hilted black khopesh at an arctic titan!
AS: +262 vs DS: +155 with AvD: +36 + d100 roll: +48 = +191
... and hit for 33 points of damage!
Deft swing strikes the arctic titan's neck.
Maybe not fatal but it's sure distracting.
** The small spring-loaded rods attached to your khopesh suddenly shoot out with incredible force! **

You hear several snaps as the arctic titan's neck is broken in several places.

The arctic titan screams evilly one last time and goes still.
If you're not familiar with mechanical flares, they will always land the same spot as the strike unless the body part is destroyed. Also, in the look description the "absolutely perfect condition" indicates they're the permanent kind, not the temporary ones. If anyone wants to see more flares I can run out and get them.
As a side note they DO NOT work with the hamstring CM. Actually, it works too well and has no RT if it hits but also screams at the GM's that it's broken any time you use it. I put in a bug and spoke with a GM on it back in October, so wouldn't hold my breath on getting it fixed.
