I was wondering if anyone had any more information on this naginata from Teegan's shop (http://pshops.lichproject.org/shops/3783) in the Landing (North Room):

a shadow black steel naginata
It imparts a bonus of +25 more than usual.

Every effort has been made to have this weapon reflect no light. The matte black blade curves gracefully at the midpoint, while only the slightest glint of silver can be seen along the cutting edge. Oddly, the spine of the blade is not straight, but has a series of small gut-hooks reminiscent of a dragon's spine. The narrow ebonwood shaft is smooth and featureless while the ishizuki has been fashioned into a clenched fist of steel.
You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
It requires skill in polearms to use effectively.
It has been mainly crafted out of steel.

It inspects as +25 but I'm trying to figure out if it is new-style or old-style. Also, the sign in the shop says that it has "special reverse-end flares." Anyone have any information about these? In general if they are any good, and in particular if they are specially scripted flares that would allow for double- or triple-flaring from Paladin bonding flares?

It's new style, otherwise there would be a line about 'a modified whatever'

Flares are meh.

No, you won't get Paladin bond flares with it.

edit: Teegan posts/reads here

The weapon has been modified a few times from the original EG merchant - (the one that plays the dice-games) - it's also been max lightened. The flares are one of Khal's - he may be able to explain them a bit more. It's one of those weapons I've put away figuring "I'll use it someday, with someone" - but you know how that goes! So, it's not really priced to sell - but as with most things, if someone really wants something and has a trade/haggle - I'm around.

Oh, and the dice game merchant will continue to work on his previous weapons if you are a winner from one of his games - that includes getting this further enchanted. ;)
