So... I have lich half installed? I think?

--- Lich: 'infomonitor' was not found!
--- Lich: 'lichnet' was not found!

--- Lich: started .

apparently it's running.. I'm just missing some stuff? I 'think' I got psi off the system.. I never saw a lich installer box like the site said..it went straight to SGE and it connected from there.

looks like the old version from my untrained eyes. make sure you downloaded lich from http://lichproject.com/

ok..now when I run it it takes me to the wizard window with nothing but 3 lines..no login or anything..just straight into wizard

you sure you have the right version? when I run lich.rbw it opens up a login/install screen. Might have to get help from someone more knowledgeable than I. Was just trying to relay my experience from installing it on two computers recently but I didnt have much trouble aside from permissions being set(damn windows 7). All I can say is make sure you are following these steps http://www.lichproject.org/download.html

Thanks for the link, I need to install lich on my ubuntu laptop and try it out. The instructions are good, I think even Jayvn can understand them.

I'm fairly certain I have psi remnants on here..i'm going to do a full system recovery anyway..get rid of all the trash I've accumulated in the last 3 years on it and THEN redownload ruby and Lich and try this again

ok..nevermind again..jesus.. i'm so raged right now... but the computer is fresh and new and lich is finally installed... I need to go punch someone... good thing I get to go work for 4 hours tonight

You can't run it from the zip.
Extract it somewhere THEN run it.

I keep getting ..
Running ubuntu lucid 10.04, and logging in through the simu launcher
[lnet: keepalive: connection closed... restarting...]
[lnet: error connecting to lichproject.org: Connection refused - connect(2)]
[lnet: ran out of servers to try...]
