Just a heads up on this. It is about the Treme neighborhood, and greater New Orleans, during post-Katrina life.

It's from the creators of the Wire and has a couple of carryover castings from the Wire.

I'm only 3 (of 4 so far, 10 total this season, and already renewed for S2) episodes in, but I have a feeling this will overtake Deadwood as my top show of all time. It's got the same autheticity of the Wire, but it's much more character and narrative driven. There is a whole lot less "action", but I don't feel like it is missing a thing.

Agreed! Treme is pretty awesome. All of the characters/storylines have been great. I didn't know it was renewed for Season 2! That is good news.

And I need to see Deadwood still.

I caught my first episode of Treme this past Saturday afternoon. By Saturday evening I had watched every episode released... Very good show, Ill add my recommendation to the two already here...

All of my playing under the tutelage of Treme over a decade ago and I never realized he was named after a neighborhood.

Treme is a good show, several of my fellow New Orleans natives have really felt that it portrays all the critical parts of the life of the city in a real, gritty way. I was one of the few people who liked K-Ville when it was on, but Treme is 100x better.

Treme rocks. I'm trying to put together a "soudtrack" of all the music. Love the music.
