Not buying this one... too many bullshit fights lately. Still watching a stream though.

WEC ftw.
Anyway. COME ON DALEY.
As much as I enjoy watching him knock people out, I don't think Daley's one-dimensional style is going to be enough to handle Kos.
Here's to kimbo being dominated.

What are you using to stream it? I have been looking for a new source. I had one and would put my gbit streaming box on the seed so it was atleast watchable for me.
But lately too many damn leeches caused me to upload like 1.5TB before the show was over.
it's been hard to find good free streams lately... and when I do, they usually get taken down before the event is over. I'm using my buddy's account on http://live247.tv now.

What an awesome night of fights. That last fight in particular was something. I wont give any spoilers other than to say Fuck Daley. I hope he never fights again.

I thought that was a great card. Kimbo Slice is a huge fraud and it makes me questions the validity of all those youtube videos.
The guy wilts anytime he's hit.

Kimbo seems like he's a very humble man, but his fighting skills definitely seem to be lacking. The people he fought in the internet videos must have -really- sucked, because Kimbo gets his ass beat when he gets into the octogon.

I watched the ultimate fighter he was on. I agree he seems like a great guy, and did a great job of self promotion. I don't fault him for that, everyone needs to get theirs.
But as a fighter he's a fraud. I might even give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's possible all those backyard brawls took a huge toll on his body and that's why he's not very effective. But for someone who is supposed to be a knockout artist, I can't even remember seeing him knock someone down with a punch.

Watching now.
Josh Koscheck = Faggot.
What an awesome awesome display of standup. I mean it's REALLY exciting to lay on someone for 15 minutes.
Oh and in my country we call acting injured when you're not DIVING. This makes you a fucking loser.
I hope GSP (also another dullard wrestler) beats the living hell out of him (again).

Isn't Diving your national sport? You know that one with a ball where if anyone gets within 3 metric feet of a player, he hits the ground and acts like he was tasered? :moon2:

Apparently after his performance last night, Kimbo Slice was cut from the UFC.

UFC star Kimbo Slice gets the ax

Kimbo Slice has been diced out of the UFC.
Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the popular MMA fighter was cut by the organization. The news comes a day after Slice lost in a second-round TKO to former NFL lineman Matt Mitrione at UFC 113.
The move wasn't a surprise after remarks from White following the bout on Saturday night.
"That's probably Kimbo's last fight in the UFC," White said. "I got nothing but respect for him."
Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, first gained attention when clips of him street fighting hit the Internet. He was signed by EliteXC in 2007 and fought for the organization until it declared bankrupcy in 2008.
He also made an appearance on UFC's "The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweight" reality show.
Slice won in his debut with the UFC at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale in a 215 lb. catchweight battle against Houston Alexander. His second UFC fight was Saturday's loss to Mitrione. It was his first -- and only -- heavyweight fight in the UFC.

That's pretty baffling. Kimbo is an aging, limited fighter who will never compete for the title, but he's a gamer. President White couldn't find some excruciating jobber to cut instead?
It wasn't definite that Kimbo was cut, if you listen to what Dana said. On the other hand he was much more certain about Daley, saying he'd never fight in the UFC again.
As far as Kimbo being a fraud, I disagree. The guy's left knee is already known to be beyond fucked up and that's clearly the blueprint for beating him. I'm actually impressed with how much Kimbo has improved, his ground game is much better now and he seems to have a real penchant for leverage and throws.
However, he's got two fatal flaws, the knee and endurance. I imagine that if he had been doing real MMA training as a younger guy he could have been a serious player at 215, but he got in the sport too late and his knee went south quick.

You'd be wrong. That's the world's sport.

Except for North America and Asia...
I would think that they'd keep Kimbo for at least one more fight... hell, let him fight James Toney. He's still a guaranteed draw, and the UFC has invested a fair amount of marketing in him. Strikeforce will sign him immediately if he gets released.

Football is epicly popular in Asia.
But yeah I expect viewing figures for the World Cup to trump anything ever this year.
PS. Koscheck = pussy.

hell I have almost 0 interest in soccer but I will watch the world cup. Has the same appeal as the Olympics I guess.

Koscheck may indeed be a pussy, but that is no excuse for what Daley did. It is a shame he threw away his career like that, too. He is a talented fighter, but you cannot have unstable people like that in the sport of MMA. I would be surprised if the body that regulates MMA doesn't ban him from fighting for an extended period of time.

I completely agree Fallen.
Dana White was right to cut him then and there.

I wonder if the various state athletic commissions actually have the power to do anything to stop Daley from fighting in the future, especially since this incident occurred in Canada. Are there any precedents for this sort of thing in boxing?

What happens is they can ban him from fighting in the States/Canada, then the fighter will go fight someplace like Japan. This is a bad move, long term, though, as they take that shit personally, and will just extend your ban indefinitely. It happens sometimes with fighters and steroid charges.

Depends on the fighter. It never stopped Mark Coleman.

I love the ones where both guys pretend the other one headbutted them. Somewhere Reggie Miller's perpetual smirk grew even smirkier. The reflexes are really incredible on some, I don't think I could collapse so abruptly if I was shot with a rifle. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
