I have an unusual hatred for this kid, I guess not so much him as his fans, because they're stupid as hell, but apparently so is he.

I do too. I just can't stand to even look at him. I want to fucking beat the shit out of him for no good reason.

Lol.. I didn't know who he was until one our friends have a kid that looks just like him. Did Justin come out of the closet on Oprah?

I didn't know who he was either, until a couple weeks ago. My cousins 12 year old daughter wouldn't shut the fuck up about him. So we started telling her that he was secretly gay, and we knew because we're adults. (Yes, my ticket to hell is being bumped to first class.)

I had no idea who he was until I Wikipedia'd him as a result of this thread and his incomprehensible stupidity about the meaning of "German." I think you may be on to something after seeing his photo, though.

I could barely understand the interviewers accent either.

I hate the kid, too, but it was the interviewer's fault.
The actual question: "Bieber is German for basketball. True or false?"
Interviewer said: "Okay, Justin. Um, Bieber, sorry, is German for basketball. True or false?"
Preteen Douche: "Is what?"
Interviewer: "Is German for basketball. True or false?"
Preteen Douche: "German?"
Interviewer: "German. Sorry, it's the Kiwi accent going on there. German. German."
The interviewer kept leaving out 'Bieber,' so all it sounded like was a fragmented sentence.

He showed him the que-card. Justin had no idea what the word "German" even was, the interviewer might not have made it easy to understand but the kid has to be pretty dumb not to figure it out.
It takes a lot of the fun out of it when you realize that Justin was thinking it was a slang term, perversion of German into "like it so much you'd kill millions of jews", and he misunderstood that he wasn't saying "the last name 'Bieber' is German for basketball", as "You are German for basketball".

Just another Miley Cyrus/Jonas Brothers retard. They, along with their fans, should all be burned alive as fuel.

I can easily see why the confusion occurred. The interviewer's accent and his phrasing sucks.
What is less easy to understand is this kids appeal to teen girls (and I'm sure some boys too). He just seems so ordinary. But, looking back, some of my own preteen and early teen crushes seem totally inexplicable to me now.

That sounds mastabatory (is that even a word?).

Masturbatory.
Which, if you pronounce as "master-bait-ory" sounds like a part of a building, like the rectory.

Also a word: masturbatorily (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/masturbatorily).
You're welcome.

"masturbatorily (comparative more masturbatorily, superlative most masturbatorily)"
lol, next time someone asks me how I am, I'm totally saying " I am most masturbatorily, thank you for asking."

Masturbatorily is an adverb, and I'm not sure superlatives can easily modify adverbs.
Hmmm, this is gonna bother me.

Nah, most adverbs do take comparative and superlative forms with "more" and "most." Some, though, change their form entirely (well, better, best, for instance).
Edit: More examples: "Highly, more highly, most highly;" "finely, more finely, most finely."

This thread seems to be converging with the Grammar Nazi thread.

I'm not sure I'm fine with "more finely" or "more highly" either, though I admit their "most" counterparts sound right.

Probably because it's an uncommon, but not improper, usage?

I love the hair comments.
It's like what all your grandparents said about the Beatles and what your parents said about Kurt Cobain.

But in those cases, people disapproved of the hair and thus the music, in this case, the hair just enrages us and makes us want to beat small children with sticks.

If you're really comparing Justin Bieber to either of these, I'm going to set your house on fire.

There is no defense for lyrics like this
And I was like
Baby, baby, baby ohhh

My boyfriend's 11 year old daughter has "Bieber Fever". Every time she comes over, she's all, "OHMYGODJUSTINBIEBERISONTVCANWEWATCHIT!!!!!" and I hate life.
I find calling him Randy Beaver enrages her hilariously.
"IT'S JUSTIN BIEBER!! NOT Randy Beaver!"
I LOL and have to leave the room.

You now have a duty to conduct various psychological experiments on her to discover why he's at all popular.

X movie is more highly rated the Y movie, according to IMDB.
There you go, proper usage, and it sounds correct to my ears.
