And it's a girl.

I was more excited about this a few minutes ago when the title read 70 mph knuckle ball. They changed it to "killer" knuckle ball and in the article it cites 70mph fast ball. I doubt I could toss a 70mph pitch any longer.

BUT SHE'S 12 AND isn't a bull dyke. Awesome. Taught by none other than Joe Niekros. Killer story.

I found it a particularly touching article high up on the awesome scale.

I saw an ESPN episode (maybe the 30/30) recently that was all on knuckleballers.

They profiled an asian woman knuckleballer along with the standard college/pro/prospects.

It's amazing what Sean finds when googling for 12 year old girls.

Yo, if she's delivering 70MPH with consistency and the seams are still barely moving after 5 innings, that is sick. And if she really is that much of a pitcher, her coach needs to get her started on knuckle-curves and, if she's really-really that much of a pitcher, see if she can throw circle changes while grasping like 5% of the ball. A thrower is a thrower, but a pitcher is a pitcher.

They should doctor a few balls with a file and see how ridiculously awesome she can make it look (if she's that good.)
