Since I presume some people here have funds for their kids started, I figured I would try and get some ideas from everyone here.
Essentially, since my child support skyrocketed from $216 a month to $536 a month, I suggested we put a % of the child support in a fund for the kid for either college, nest egg, or whatever, when he gets old enough/out of college/etc.
So does anyone have any ideas on any funds that actually earn money, moderately low risk, and that he cant touch until we essentially say so. (I dont want him to get it at 18, and pimp out a POS car (see http://www.hiphopcars.com/cheetos-pimped-out-car.jpg)
I'm guessing at least $100 a month would be put into the fund from child support, unless the amount changes drastically again. So for 13-15 years, hopefully he'll have a decent amount saved up.
Suggestions?
