I know this has probably happened to most of us here (that train in sweep, and wear spiked greaves of course)

> ask bean about train sweep
You ask Bean about getting some training in Sweep.

Bean pulls you aside for some instruction.
[A Dark Corner]
This dark corner is far enough away from the bustle of the courtyard to provide a little peace and quiet...perfect for reflection and training. You also see Master Footpad Bean.
Obvious paths: out
K> stance off
You are now in an offensive stance.
K>
Bean says, "Again, I'll sweep you, you sweep me. Now I won't hold back so much!"
K> gld stance off
You are now using your guild abilities to their fullest!
> sweep bean
[Roll result: 189 (open d100: 48) Bonus: 30]
You crouch, sweep a leg at Master Footpad Bean and connect!
Master Footpad Bean falls to the ground! You deftly regain your footing.

[You have 9 repetition(s) remaining.]

** A spike on your mithril leg guards jabs into the Footpad Bean! **
... 30 points of damage!
Great shot penetrates thigh and shatters bone!
The Footpad Bean is stunned!
Roundtime: 5 sec.
R> rem gua
You remove a set of mithril spiked leg guards from your legs.
> look bean
Known as "Bean the Stalker" by his fellow masters, you can see where he got his nickname. Rail thin and almost skeletal, Master Bean obviously uses his slight form to good effect when stalking his marks. What strikes you the most about his personage, however, is the odd lilt to his voice. When giving lessons, he rambles in running, mumbling sentences.
>
You feel fully energetic again.
>
Bean begins to move again.
>
Bean stands back up.

:wasntme:

I'm considering running some tests on this with some spiked/flaring greaves and see how much punishment these guys can take..although they probably have unlimited health and are immune to death, anyways

They used to just get knocked out and someone would come splash water on them to revive them.

Maybe it's the warrior guild I am thinking of. I know they were knocked out.

Actually you can "kill" either Warrior or Rogue guild training masters with spiked/flaring gear, as I've seen some Rogues with "Master Footpad So and So" as there strongest foe, and I've seen clips about Warrior Masters getting spiked to death on accident, but they really don't die in the traditional sense

Ah, maybe so. I haven't done any of that shit guild work since before the spiked/flaring shit came out.
