Just take one of the current scripts and customize it for your bow and arrows. It isn't that hard to adjust it.

Just use OHEs and then make use of your instant reallocation when you get out of rats.

why waste the reallocation though? and does someone have an OHE script then that i can alter?

Artha

It's not wasting, because you have an unlimited number for the 45 days or so. It's making use of the mechanics.

So i can go ohe and shield and all, and after i get to say 11 trains or wherever i can switch over, and then still have my future reallocation goals for later in life?

Artha

Yep. Use the goals command. This only works if it's a new character and still has the instant reallocation period.

just for shits and giggles......Rats i have been told are over scripted, does anyone have a daggerbeaks hunting script?

Artha

Rats are scripted pretty heavily, but it's not really a problem...I've been checked twice (once I was on the crapper and got warned and that sucked) out of about 10 characters.

I'd think a script for ants would be easy, and you'd be the only one down there 90% of the time.

ants are Vaalor right?

Artha

There's an ant hunting area in the landing too. Apparently nobody ever goes there anymore. There's an entrance under the well and one outside the grocer's store too.

okay heres another question....this character is not yet born, but i'm working out plans...you say i could go with ohe and all and then reset...does that allow me to set my stats again as well, because i'm thinking i can set her up so that shes not busying with useless picking and so skills, and have her heavy on swinging and dodging but have the strength maxed and such so that she'd be really good for the underhunting moment.....can i set it with that reallocation, so it will be the way i want it to turn out for my sniping archer later?

Artha

All it is is using the goals verb and your 45 day superquick skill reallocation. You have 5 stat changes, so set your stats for quick growth for the first few levels and change them when you change your plan.

very very cool i think i'll set myself up for ridge orcs on the trail to Zul, just cause its different

That may only apply to characters that NEED to reallocate, namely, the ones porting from GSIII to GSIV. They might not give you the instagoals we all got for our first 45 days.

well it's a fun risk

Celexei, you strike me as the type of person who would benefit greatly from learning to do this yourself.

I've made a few characters between GSIV coming online and now...you still get the instagoals for 45 days.

learning to do what myself, creating and altering scripts?....i was just curious if they were out there, but instead...i'm coming up with a completly original script...just wanted to make sure that it would all work out in the end

I've got a pretty good script that I made for the fanged rodents in Ta'Vaalor because I've got a basic account that automatically drops you ther :mutter:. It's solid enough to leave it runnin while you sleep; ran a character up to level 9 with it in about a week or so. U2U me if you want it.

just head to the landing if you die..depart and try again until you finally either make it or die within the area to depart in the landing

Celexei

Well i made it back to the landing so now i guess i'll try out the rat hunter, unless someone has another area, such as ants

You could just try it in every room. ;) Looking at a map is probably more efficient, though.

I'm thinking it starts in the town well, take a look at it, see what ya can tell

Looks like you could start it in the Nexus, at the Well, or in any of the spokes, maybe. I'm not terribly familiar with the rats area. Nymphs... mmmm...

Artha

It can start just about anywhere...Well, spokes, or nexus. To get it to start in one of the spokes, you have to move somewhere you aren't supposed to (in the NW/SE spoke, try to move N for example), or type kill when there's nothing there.

I'm really enjoying this script, works wonders, already gained three trains from it....does hunting a younger critter while you get older affect the ammount of experience you gain though? should i be picking up on new bigger critters?

Artha
03-30-2004, 10:51 PM
As you gain trainings, you get less experience per critter, maxing out at 10 exp per critter when you're 10 trains over the critter.

I generally stop the script at 4 or 5 for a semi, 8 or 9 for a pure, 3 or 4 for a square, and 3 for anyone in Voln.

Celexei

well i just trained 4, i'm a square, what do you reccommend moving up to now? i'm thinkinging of tangling with maybe some lesser orcs? are there any scripts out there that will give a nice exp kick off of somethin like orcs? if so please post or give me a link
