Returning/Linux

Hello all,

Thinking about firing up my old account (haven't played in 3-5 years) and since then I do not run windows any more but run Ubuntu Linux. I am currently running 9.10 and looking for a way to install both Stormfront and PSInet. I have installed Sun Virualbox and am installing a virtual install of windows XP SP3. Anyone tried this root? Any other thoughts on getting this to work?

On a side note, though I run Ubuntu I do not compile my own programs or write any scripts. I chose Ubuntu because it gave me 99% of Windows Functionality.

If you're running xp in virtual box, then you can completely ignore the fact that you have linux and just follow the normal install instructions for xp.

You could also use Lich instead of psinet... and if you wanted you could run that in linux, then connect to it through your VM.

The easiest route would probably be running everything from within your virtual XP installation.

PSInet does work, and with virtual box 3.1 and winxp SP3, you can run psinet and SGE. It only took 8 hours to work...
