I was moving around some loot and noticed something interesting. A couple of backpacks couldn't be emptied of some boxes. I found 3 such boxes. One was plated and two had jaw traps (nothing special besides, i.e. no weird scripted items or anything). Needle trapped boxes, however, could be dumped via empty.
I'd speculate that the trap is a tangible item at that point (you can't empty a trap between containers). Kind of strange if needle trapped boxes aren't the same.
