Vilorcasada just paid some absurd amount for a veil iron maul. She would have gone nuts for this.

That may be the case, but for the most part the stuff is not that uncommon of a treasure drop these days, and you can't do anything with the stuff, so we settled on a reasonable price. Also, why would someone going nuts over a maul buy a short sword?
