Does it suck? If so, why? If not, why not?

Could it support an entire hunting plan, or at least finish off disabled junk? Is it efficient for its cost? Etc.

Hook me up with some knowledge.

Bards tell me it involves too much micromanagement, like AD before Nilven/Strath tweaked it. I've only see a few bards bother with it, and they aren't around anymore, heh.

I have never used it outside of initial testing. It was pretty useless.

I imagine it was too slow, too combsersome, and too low of an AS without tweaking your build to make use of it? Something like that?

It's a weapon swinging with the same AS as you, more or less? If so, would it benefit from Tonis?

I'm trying to figure out why it's so bleh, and if it's plausible to work it out with well written macros.

If it's somehow worse than your usual swing (aside from the obvious nuisance, lack of flares, and aiming issues), then I'm more or less giving up on the thought.

It doesn't benefit from tonis.
It has shitty AS even when I had it completely maxed.
It frontloads RT like a creature so the RT listed in the spell means it takes that long to react. If you're using tonis or 1030 or both you'll kill whatever you tell it to attack LOOOOONG before it attacks (or should).
It has bugs

I think it was Jemiquist that kept a 1025 crossbow up all the time, and used it to kill people in the park. It was amusing.

Except when you get arrested for it like I did.

I never used it outside of when it was first released. Usually whatever it was attacking was dead before it even got to react.
