>tap chain
You tap a masterful suit of titanium-spiked black alloy chain that you are wearing.

Glad that isn't breastplate. I'd be clearing the banks.
I got a long knife Mogonis. I'm never selling.

In almost every case this armor is equal to or superior to MBP. MBP is only plate in the chest are, the rest is all chain...
Meaning that MCP MBP and this armor has the same protection on the head, neck, and all limbs but is easier to cast in, and only worse on chest/back.

I don't want just any long knife.

Not everyone chooses to do what's mechanically superior. I picture myself in hauberk and I laugh. It's goofy. But I wore hauberk for a very long time, from level 18 to, who knows, level 60? I am very happy with breastplate, and all exposed areas have HCP hauberk anyway.

Not exactly. I may be remembering incorrectly but as I recall, MBP still keeps the plate crit divisor across the entire body. The only difference is the DF, which like you said drops down to chain on the non-torso bits. I'm not sure how the difference in AvD affects it, but I'm pretty sure MBP is nearly always better.
Again, this is all IIRC, and I don't know the math to verify such..but it's definitely not almost always the same.

You guys can debate it's finer points all you want, but that is a fine set of armor.

That's not exactly true. MBP gets plate DF on all body parts, which is much lower than chain. What you're talking about is the crit divisor; MBP has a CD of 11 on the torso, but 9 on the limbs and head. Still, the DF is the far more significant factor. Also, MBP has a CvA 9 lower than that of hauberk (i.e. +9 TD).
Sorry, not trying to cockblock.

It is a fantastic suit of armor. I don't think anyone's arguing that. Plenty of people out there who choose to wear hauberk.

Not worried at all, I would not think a warrior would be interested in this anyway and neither would most rogues or pali's unless they are going for a less cookie cutter build post cap.

Ahh. I had it backwards. DF is consistent. However, as was mention this is still damn sexy armors.

It's fine, I think that Droit just doesn't want anyone to bid against him, he has the current offer on this right now.
I know which knife you want Mogonis. I'm just not selling it.

Hauberk also rapes your daughters and gives you (and your daughters) syphilis.

I thought haubrek was one of the better choices for a magical rogue build.

I wouldn't consider a magical rogue a cookie cutter build.
And the current bid is 150m right now.

For the record....
Magical rogue currently, in MBP.
Armor Use..........................| 301 201
[Spell Hindrance for an imflass metal breastplate is 24% with current Armor Use skill, d100= 24]
One more rank, I tack on my +8 enhansives, and have 16%, 8% if a paladin tinkers.
Since magical rogues were the discussion... In my opinion, it's be really stupid for a rogue to wear hauberk over MBP. The pseudo TD from the CvA alone is enough to make hauberk a much less desirable option.
