My news station just procured a fleet of brand new vans for us to drive, and they all came with a free 6-month Sirius subscription.
I had never been around a satellite radio before, but I'm really liking what I'm hearing so far. I've also been trying to learn about the terms of Sirius' weird-ass merger with XM... they're still separate entities, with different sports and talk licenses, but they have 90% of the same channels? WUH WUH WUH??
Anyway, does the PC have any satellite radio nerds lurking? What are the most baller stations? The best I've heard was shade 45 (Eminem's executive-produced one) that had this guy talking about getting blowjobs at work and he played like 3 Slick Rick songs in a row.
Best. Station. Ever.

shade 45 ...3-6 i think 3-6 is the All Out show, used to listen to that alot. And stern.
I like channel 21, they play pretty decent corporate indie-ish rock.

I had a temp subscription on my truck when I bought it last year, and it was pretty handy keeping me awake when I was driving cross-country. I only listened to the comedy stations when I got tired of listening to my ipod though.

I've had Sirius for a few years now. I listen to it most of the day at work online and to and from work. I listen to...
Faction (Punk, Hard rock, old school hiphop)
Lithium (90s grunge / alternative rock)
Octane (hard rock)
Area (house / trance music)
BPM (the same 5 'dance hits' over and over and over and over)
Shade 45 (R&B & hiphop)
Howard Stern (bobba booey!)
All the comedy stations
And if I need to un-stress a bit, I'll flip it over to symphony hall or classical pops.
Then my radio also will alert me when any station is playing any song by certain artists. So I'll flip around with that fairly often (No Doubt - Don't Speak? Sure, I'll listen to that for the 40th time today, why not?).

The Jason Ellis Show. It's on Faction, XM 52 I think.

I love mine. I only wish I had bought the lifetime subscription when it was available.
I listen to Hair Nation (23), Raw Dog, and Blue Collar.
Over football season and when I'm traveling on sunday. I listen to the NFL games.

Lithium is awesome, I also like all the metal stations as they play closer to underground than most stations.

Is the lifetime not available anymore?

Not the last time I checked which would have been about 2-3 months ago.
