I figured out the block that had prevented me from doing this before.

Illistim is done, other towns will be done as I get to them.

Is the new Wehntoph map going to be added to your roomdata anytime soon? I have some stuff I want to add.

Point me to this map of which you speak?

This will make my little project easier. Awesome. Congrats.

Vaalor (other than the town itself, which uses a non-tsoran map) and zul added

What led you to solve the issue btw?

It is a simple algebra equation of comparing coordinates on one more to another and then adjusting by the scale difference. This is how I did the psinet import and it worked find. First time I tried it with lich though it failed. No idea why. I didn't look too hard at it though because I had other things to do.

Today I sat down and looked at it again and realized one set of my maps were actually at the wrong dimensions. Garbage in, garbage out. So once I got the right set of maps, and their dimensions, the ratio conversion worked.

looks like I won't be able to do riversrest, all the maps have been edited for that town and their dimensions changed in such a way as to make the rooms not match up.

explain in dumb people terms what you are doing?

I believe he's trying to lay two pieces of paper on top of each other. Each piece of paper has an identical set of dots, and he's trying to get those dots to line up on each paper?

(But in RR, the dots aren't identical.)

Correct, and there are 12,000 dots, so I'm only going to do it in a way which a computer can automate the task.

Ahhhhh that sucks about RR

I was getting excited :(

Any chance you could throw up the marsh keep expansion map for us to add items to, though?

I need coordinate data on any new map.

If you want to provide it... here are the instructions.

Resize the map so the width does not exceed 1000 pixels

Get a program called CuteMap, it is shareware. Open it, load up the map file, and draw a square over every spot on the map. Each square need not be perfect, but each need be done. The program will generate an HTML file with a bunch of coordinates, that is all I need, that html output, I can generate my data from there.

Do this, and I'll add any new map you need.

Hopefully, this one for Marsh Keep will work.. if not, let me know and I'll try again..

Wow SPfairy, I just noticed you had submitted that...

I need the image file though, not just the html file you created from it.
