I have about a thousand (949, currently) physical training points to spend. I'm scaling back HP to 1x (hence the 51). Where should I put those points? Pretty much a cookie cutter Runestaff user.

Overtrain sorcerer base for the CS bonus? Bring Minor Elemental or Minor spirit up more for the CS as well as the additional spell? MOC to mitigate FoF? Anything that could help me avoid maneuvers? Something else I haven't considered, as it's been over a year since I've played?

FWIW, I'm aware that my stats are a little fucked. I still can put an enhancive on my AG badge, too.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'd dump spell aim. Sorcerers are not good bolters and I didn't use void that much and when I did it worked well enough without spell aim. I highly recommend spell aim at cap in Nelemar though. Bump up your sorcerer spell ranks and get crit padded armor for maneuver defense.

I would not dump spell aiming. implosion, focused maelstrom, 708.

Plus, wizard wands = extra mana at the end of a hunt. Keep the crystal wands you find and you're good to go. Or depending on where you hunt, the elemental wands (cold wands vs fire critters, etc).

Or... mana extenders. If you knock a beast down with 702 or 705, they're now prone. Your follow up 702 or 705 gets no benefit from that, but whip out a wand and it will.

oh, if you want to avoid manuevers, get PF up to 1x. Trust me, it'll help.

I'd also drop your swimming. Where you going to swim at level 43? You can always get it later when it is needed.

Spell Aim is also good for runestaff defense. I'm wearing 6x crit padded armor currently.

You think sorc ranks instead of working towards Major Ewave or CL/Fogging? And wtf is Searing Light? Is it worth having anytime soon?

Darkstone? Luckily, I'm voln, so it's not a big deal. I just use the tapestry. It's rather cheap, though.

PF is cheaper than I thought. Perhaps I'll do that. What should I do with the rest of the 784 or so points after that? MnE? That has a spell and a little CS. MnS? Also has a spell and a bit more CS. Sorc? That'd just give a straight CS bonus, I think.

Sorcerer base ranks also give DS bonus, but only up to your level, so you are maxed out at that. 435 is a nice spelll (major ewave), and 400 ranks will give you AS, DS, and CS, but getting to 130 is nice, as well, for the transport. 125 is good for opening boxes, or so I'm told. 140 is nice, saves on ruby amulets for those oh shit moments.

You could do something crazy, like my sorcerer, who has 48 ranks of airlore and thus has an extra 1 sec RT reduction with haste imbeds. Fastest swinging sorcerer around. There are better uses of your TP's, though.

Ah, I see what you need. Ranks in summoning lore. 20 ranks of summoning lore will get you web bolt (bolt version of 118), and every rank in summoning lore will increase the DF for your 111 bolt. Sure, sorcerers are not the best bolters around, but they are not bad at it, either. Get 513 imbeds to help with your bolt AS. 111 is actually a rather nice bolt spell. Also, 30 ranks of summoning lore will let you counter locate (when someone locates you, you can find out who it is), if that is important to you.

Up the PF to 1x, keep dropping the HP to 1x (since it's only +1 mana for every rank over level), Summoning Lore to help your 111 and get Web bolt, and extra 400's spells (for added AS, DS, and CS). Keep the Spell Aiming, since it can be useful for quite a few spells.

Or, you could drop the twig routine and get some Shield Use for better protection (more DS in offensive, when you use bolts; can't be disarmed).

I'd love to see animate dead work more like a pet spell. As long as you didnt search the dead critter you could cast 730 at it to reanimate it. The way it stands now its useless. Be nice if it could fight for you as a pet similar to alot of other games.
