I re-opened another account that hasn't been active in 10 years. So I have 5 stat re-allocations and 30 days of instant migration.

Let me know if you see anything major I need to change...

Your stats are crap, too. Enjoy your re-allocation!

Also: -crap skills, +Max Polearm, +enough ranks of Cman for feint and something else that's neat/otherwise useful.

If he wanted to do polearms to hit the Warmage route, you'd want to fully single CM, not just get enough ranks for feint.

Feint does rock, though. 4 ranks of it so far. Hitting 5 ASAP and then moving to Disarm.

Stat-wise, that low Wisdom is brutal. I would drop Influence to bring Wisdom up. Also your Discipline, same deal. Check out this site and use it to help you fix your stats for growth: http://home.mchsi.com/~cphillips73/StatCruncher/StatCruncher.html

Shield Use.........................| 159 59

Hello,

I have a level 100 wizard that uses a runestaff and the effect of ambush push down has been brutal in OTF/Bandits.

I will post that build in a minute(it doesn't have a stat reallocation).

In regards to my stats, when I rolled the wizard up I used the stat cruncher to plan for level 100 stat maximization with a 1:1 ratio of mental to physical. Back then you needed heavier armor and CM training.

So my question to the folks who posted up redo your stats, do you think it is better to have perfect stats by 100 or have the most training points by 100?

Using the stat cruncher now for GS4, I put in 1.5:1 ratio for mental points and got the following starting stats:

CO:88
DE:70
DI:70
LO:88
IT:31
ST:98
AG:89
IF:23
WI:23
AU:80

Strength (STR): 97
Constitution (CON): 70
Dexterity (DEX): 37
Agility (AGI): 84
Discipline (DIS): 25
Aura (AUR): 80
Logic (LOG): 90
Intuition (INT): 68
Wisdom (WIS): 23
Influence (INF): 86

Those are my level 0 stats right now.

This is my level 100 mage:

He said the account hasn't been active in years. Shield training was pretty standard even during my early time playing (2000).

What do you want to do with this wizard? You've got plenty of options.

I have am immo build wizard right now, and the easiest thing to do leveling up for me has always been bolting and using mana leech to recover.

I have never thought of a halfling as the greatest candidate for a warmage due to the low str bonus.

So really the only two options I am weighing are lance user or bolter. Right now as a bolter I seem to do okay.

Since I have the Immolation wizard I don't really want to go that route again.

The account was deactivated in 2000 and so the skills you see are what I ended up with after logging in to see a lot of my training butchered. I just removed like the 3 ranks of CM I had left, the 20 ranks of first aid and 24 ranks of trading etc. I know that stuff isn't useful, but back in the day you had to find things to train in since you didn't get converted points back.

A warmage's AS is fairly shitty at endgame anyway, Giant or halfling. 1 second RT and disabler spells are the equalizers. I would do warmage just as a different flavor, since you have the Immo build already. I will never play a wizard that hunts primarily with bolts. I find it boring and honestly, frustratingly difficult to fry that way.

Warmage!

I would say load up on Arcane Symbols and scroll tank for a greater AS. Bravery scrolls are extremely easy to come by (As you well know), add in Phoen's Strength, and the occasional Heroism item and that AS wont be so lacking anymore.

Alright, I have nothing to loose per se in going warmage for a week or two and try it out. It will still leave me with instant migration and 4 more stat changes.

The warmage training is fairly straight forward, but in terms of picking stats, any suggestions on how to configure them? Go for max points, or all 100s?

What is better for "re-sale"? Since fixskills are cheap, stats are more of a pain.

Warmagery is kind of TP intensive with the need to single THW and CM. I would not optimize for all 100s, I don't think.

I used this thread to build my half-krolvin warmage: http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?t=44719

Look for Anticor's post.
