My +17 weighs 6 pounds, and has a gnomish description that you won't like, but do it anyway.

Is that 3 AS that important? Really? You're a warrior...
Don't be mad, just sayin...

Yea, sorry I have to agree with Ruty, +3 isn't worth 20m in my book.. Still the same amount of weighting.. Would be cheaper to buy a THW enhancive wouldn't it?

Over the last few months I've made a few deals and have some big blocks of Premium Points. I think I want to make a 7x claidhmore now.. I want it to be +35, not +32. Just because..

I'm the same way, if you have the coin, why not.

You're the one dishing out the coin, and it's obvious you know the market. I like self satisfaction, I would hate a +32.

That's what I like to hear. Much better than this insightful rep from anonymous:

4x Claidhmore (will... 03-23-2010 09:27 PM you are by far the worse warrior in game

more power to ya.

I'll give you some positive rep for being a gnome warrior...and to make up for that...I'm sure I'll get negged for it but whatever

I'd rather see a +35 claid over a +32 claid.

Big value difference unfortunately.

Oh, ok 4x one sounds more legit for this then I get what you're doin..

I just took one image, and glued it to another and I saw a +35 claidhmore.. and it was nice..

They should allow you to take something from a "partial" enchant to full enchant as long as you count it as a full enchant. Like, be able to say "I want to take this from +17 to +20, charge me as though you were echanting to +25."

Jace Solo

Or do you mean, charge me as though it was going from +15-20?
To 25 would be a lot more PPs

That's the point. You have to choose to take a hit on your end result in order to get the specific bonus you want. Anything between +16 and +20 counts as 4x when enchanting. Whether you end up at +21 or +25, you're still going into the blue-beam bracket of item bonuses. So you're sacrificing a few AS points for a nicer end bonus.

Or, even better, don't block enchanting into +5 intervals. Allow for PP enchantments of any bonus. If you want to add + 1, charge for +1. If you want to add + 4, charge for +4. Why not, right?

Just wondering, I think you're alter on the claid is cool and very inventive. What would you alter the new one to look like?
And how many PP's is that gonna take to get your claid to 5x? (Too Lazy to do the Math and I'm sure you already have it planned out)

That idea for partial to full enchant mechanics was discussed years ago, and summarily denied. The biggest reason was, if I recall, the simple statement of...

"Oh, so now everyone that bitched that's a gnome/halfling can have imflass at the full +50 without sacrificing that +3 DS for weight components? Thanks. I picked (XXX medium/big race) so they could hold any of the metals without being encumbered. This isn't fair."

And that held. And it's true. Imflass is +12 because that +3 is removed into it's weight bonus. You get full enchant for heavier weapons/armors. That's just how it is.

Except vultite has a lower weight mod, and eahnor doesn't.

Eahnor was introduced later though! Plus, eahnor is lame. It's one of those 'no point' metals, in my opinion. Imflass, light, less AS/DS. Eahnor, heavy, less AS/DS. Worthless.

Have to give credit to Paul for my claidhmore alter... to get a claid from 4x to 5x it takes 9k PP. then 10k for 6x, and 11k for 7x.

I'm not sure how I'd alter a new one, since their aren't any "standard" alternative names for claids, I don't even know if they'd allow me to get very inventive. I like my things pretty plain though.

What is your alter? I must have missed it if it's in this thread.

A gear studded gnarled gnomish claidhmore.
