I had the best idea ever.

LET'S SHOW EACH OTHER OUR FAVORITE SHOES!

These are my two favorite pair. The boots are 10i Steel-toe Gripfasts all the way from jolly old England, and the flip-flops were 99 cent at WalMart.

I wish I had a camera, I'd totally amaze you all.

I have docs that look like Peam's, but are taller (20 eyelet) and a normal pair of boots that goes to the top of the ankles.

peam
04-12-2004, 08:11 PM
20i's are for girls.

Artha

Yes we already know you have a lot of shoes RangerD1.

Butter Timbs, wheat Rainbow Sandals, and 3 eyelet Oxfords in that order.

I  those Timbs on the bottom. How much are they?

Hulkein
04-12-2004, 08:47 PM
Yeah they are nice. I have a pair of white sneakers and two pairs of nicer shoes. Not really worth finding a camera, uploading etc.

Edit - Searched for them, here's the sneakers

http://www.thestore.adidas.com/q204-live/s7865_020256_1.jpg

And the shoes sort of look like this - http://www.us.dockers.com/media/spr04a/dockers/prod/pr/d_prL904217_spr04a_3c458.jpg

I got a pair of steel tips too for work or when it is extremely cold/snowing.

I've never been able to find comfortable dress shoes, but those look nice.

Edaarin
04-12-2004, 08:51 PM
They were around $75 a few weeks ago. They look a lot more comfortable than they actually are.

peam

Do those boots even have the decency to be steel-toed, Edaarin?

Latrinsorm
04-12-2004, 08:54 PM
Newbalance 716's (running)

Bates Side Entry Enforcers (steel toes)

Then some Dexter black dress shoes. I really wanted to get some State Street (or something like that) but having no money makes it hard to buy shoes.

edit: I'm dumb and can't attach stuff. :(

Steel toes? WTF?

I got a few pairs of boot cut jeans to go with those and my Trail Dusts. I couldn't decide whether to go frat-tastic or ghetto, so I compromised.

I've a pair of black low-top Chucks. They make my feet look really small, when I wear them with jeans so they don't get much play.

I think I might pick up a pair of highs to wear with shorts.

my next plan for shoes....*besides another pair of Orange chucks...

Based on the original classic canvas and rubber design, this shoe is emblazoned with the original logo from the Converse Rubber Company designed by Marquis Converse himself. Talk about history! Materials consist of nubuck leather and suede for a firm, luxurious feel. Brass lace aglets and eyelets. Leather eyerow and matching rubber sidewall with original heel logo.

Those are nice. I need to figure out how to straight-lace my boots.

04-12-2004, 09:39 PM
bah Air Force 1's are

1. To damn expensive
2. Made by little kids in some little asian country for like a pennie a dozen
3. damn ugly
4. will fade out in a few weeks....

I've had a pair of cheapo nylon black/whites and a pair of leather dark blue/light blue Reebok old schools.

They rule.

well okay....look at it like this...Chucks 30bux....last FOREVER..i still wear my 24 year old pair..and they feel great

They also suck. I can get some payless shit that'll last me forever doesn't mean its a good shoe.

Funny....

Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble keeping shoes over 6 months without them looking like those pants from ambercrombie? By the way i saw a similar pair from Gap and they wanted 120 bucks for them. someone give me 75 dollars and a 20 dollar pair of pants and in 3 weeks they will look like those.

My shoes are fading a little on one side and near the toes, but I've also had them for a while and they're the only shoes I wear for anything.

<3 suede.

Edaarin
04-12-2004, 10:04 PM
My solution to that was to just have two pairs of my two favorite kinds of shoes. Party Timbs I don't mind getting beer spilled on or dirty or w/e, same with Fatheads...the other pairs are pristine and (in case of Ones) still pure white.

Boots-gotta have a pair

Athletic-for basketball running etc

I don't get it.

They're shoes. You know.. they go on your feet. You walk on stuff with them.

Yeah. I have one pair of walking apparel. Brown sandals. I wear those in the winter. In the summer, I go barefoot.

Oh, and I have a pair of black dress shoes, for when I worked.

With all the rucking Ranger does, I'm not surprised he's picky about what goes on his feet.

I usually get my shoes from Aldo. They have stuff that's around 100 bucks that would be like 300 at Nieman Marcus.

I own about 40 pairs of shoes, 5 pair of boots, and 4 pairs of sandals.

I'm not sure if I have a fav but all my tennis/running shoes are Adidas, most of my dress shoes are Baca Bucchi and my fav sandals are quicksilver.

Boots I have 20i all leather jungles that I spit shine all the time so they look like patents and they are pimp, some canvas/leather paratroopers w/ steel toe, black combats, brown combats, and some bates enforcerers.

My dress shoes are black, brown, burgundy. I have multiple belts to go with each a silver buckle and a gold buckle so depending on the watch and tie chain I'm wearing my metals in all my accessories match. Same goes with my braces, different colors and metals for different shoes, watches, etc.

I've never understood what a Birkenstock is. Does it refer to a type of sandal in general? If it means a non-flip flop kind of sandal, then that's what I have.

Birkenstocks are a brand of sandals. Most of them are leather and they last a pretty long time if you take good care of them. I love mine, I have some really old ones still in working order.

Favorite pair is my adidas. I'm a girl though, I have about a million pairs of shoes.

Oh yeah, I have my doc 'shoes' that I've had for 6 or 7 years and they still look in very good condition. I've changed the laces once since I've had them. Just have to know how to take care of your shoes and they can last a very long time.
