Alter sessions?

I've seen people mention "alter sessions" wherein you get locked in a room with a GM for half an hour or so and they alter as many of your things as you can get done in that amount of time...

Do they still do stuff like that? Was there some particular event where this was a raffled off or something? Is it part of some semi-regular occurrence?

Not sure about on prime but I won 15 minutes on plat last year and know someone else got it recently on plat as well.

Are you sure it's as many items for each person? I've been in sessions where merchants alter for as many different people as they can get to.

I've won three sessions, but that was a couple of years ago. I'd won mine at EG and the four-winds festival. I imagine they'll keep giving them away at festivals but haven't been around so am not sure.

This isn't what he's talking about. You're referring to a 'locked room' deal. He's talking about where one person sits down with a GM and gets as much work done as they can in a set time period.

And, yes it still happens. I won three 15 minute sessions this past year. Typically they're raffle or contest prizes.

I think I topped out at 20-25 things done during that time.
