Is a bonded weapon safe in OTF?

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not a bonded weapon can be taken from my corpse in OTF.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, as do paladins. However, it only kicks in when you are disarmed or hurl the weapon. When you're dead, you're doing neither, so the ability does not kick in.

It doesn't. It just means that when you're disarmed etc, it takes a moment for it to return IF you're alive. You can still be unlucky and lose your weapon to a well-timed void even if you are bonded.

It takes about 5-6 seconds for the weapon to return to your hand, which only works if...

It was disarmed or hurled
Your alive
The weapon is on the ground or in someone's hand

If you died, or if someone takes the weapon and runs into another room, then it won't return

Probably better off going with a cheapo steel weapon that you got Ebladed.

If the weapon is light and you hurl it/get disarmed, it could stick into an Ithzir and he will fade. Although less likely, it could fall to the ground and be picked up, and the Ithzir will fade. Ithzir can and have died with people's weapons while faded, essentially removing the item from the game.

All creepy scenarios best avoided. I get angry when i lose a faewood arrow. I cannot imagine a purty weapon going away that way. /rage log
