Hello. My name is Stanley Burrell. That's not really my name IRL.

Listen, I don't know how to organize things, or find places, or do anything like that, but we need, bold font muh'fuckaz, to set something up, in an official manner where people who know shit can respond to this with and then make me become drunk. And then also hang out and do stuff that cool people do.

Alright.

Starting AUGUST 21st. The THIRD week of August. One day before the FOURTH week of August begins. Be there. Be square.

Confirmed: Jessa (Hips), Nic (Hips' fiancé), Ben (Stanley Burrell), Brad (Radamanthys), Nikki (saurus), Kellen (Celephais), Sean (Sean), Eric (Latrinsorm), Dex (DCSL), Jay (Ryvicke).

Let's do it up. We just need a place to drank.

Maybe hit up Katz's beforehand:

Stanley Burrell

Yeah, I spoke with LMingrone the other day and his uncle, I think, is the owner of Amtrak and the MTA. And everything. So he'll hook us up and the taxpayers can suck it.

It's been a while since I lived in the NYC area so all my previous favorite spots are probably closed. Someone who lives there currently should suggest some places. For preferences, I like to play drunken pool (badly) and dance, so any place with either of those things in addition to large amounts of liquor is good.

I prefer the lower west side but thats because I drive in and I'm lazy so it's easier to access the tunnels from there. Also it's easier to laugh at people like TheE who goto bars like Fiddlesticks and hang out in the meatpacking district.

"A friend" I know was arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident. Luckily when "my friend" was searched, they didn't find my, I mean "my friend's" ganj he had hidden in his Yankees cap. They even took the hat and sweatshirt that my friend, not me I swear, had on. 15 minutes in a dog pen, and a $35 dollar fine later....relief. Know what the first thing I did was? Shit, I meant my friend. He smoked that shit.

DCSL

NYC cops are oddly bad at the searches. One of my friends looked like a kid that was listed missing so the Port Authority rounded up our whole group, including one of the kids from Brooklyn who had like, four knives on him at the time. Somehow they missed every fucking knife. I mean, for fuck's sake, really?

TheEschaton
03-20-2010, 11:55 PM
They didn't miss them, they just didn't care. NYC cops, sadly, have much more important shit to handle than a kid with a knife that he hasn't even pulled out or brandished.

It also has to be 100% man power as well.

Hehe at orientation they told me never to use any other box cutter or bring a knife to work other than what they issue you or it's termination.

The first day at work my manger told me I have to bring in a knife?? Funny shit ensues where I work and I love it.

Actually not true, I have a spring assisted blade. Even switchblades are technically legal. What is illegal is a "gravity blade" which means the blade can't be released which means you have to put some effort into starting it. Switchblades are technically legal because the way the law is written it says "spring propelled" which reads as blades that are shot ballistically like a missile.

Don't press your luck. The statute is so vague they can bust your ass if they really feel like it. Even for a folder under 4" if it has "tactical" features.

Something considered not to be a "pocket knife" in Florida is one that has assisted opening or a fixed blade or say is larger than something used as a casual pocket knife.

Best scenario is just to make sure you've got a CWL.

*Like to add that you can pretty much open carry anything legally. I was talking about a concealed knife.

I was indifferent at first because I hate the Yankees with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns, but I'd actually love to see the Mariners play again. And I think I still have a cap floating around for them. And I'm all about rooting against the Yankees in their home stadium. HM, decisions decisions.

I'm definitely in for the train though. Now to mooch some free lodging.

Count me in for a ticket and the train if I'm allowed, and someone give me a rough estimate on the amount of cash I should show up in the city with (as I live a decent distance away... as in states away)! I've been wanting to figure out a va-ca for right around that time anyway!

One warning about bleacher seats to any redsox fans that might come along (and I've gotten the same as a yankee fan in fenway), if you fly your colors, expect some shit... and I'm not talking just some drunk guy yelling at you, I'm talking beer spat at you, if you're lucky. They're a bit less civil in the cheap seats. Oddly enough in my experience, it's worse if it's not a RedSox/Yankee game.

Depending on who I'm with, when I go to non-yankee games at fenway I wear my San Diego cap (I'd rather not drag my mom, or sister, or non-guy friends into some exchange, if it's me w/ some buddies, I'll bear a bit of beer tossed at me).

Although you girls tend to get a bit of a pass.

Once I start doing vinyl again, your the first person I'll hook up with pimpin wood grain. You'll have to deal with a huge "Free candy" sticker too though.

You know that's what he wanted in the first place.

And I as well. Although I'm not going commando. I'm a bit shy. And I have ethics, so it's only down to my usual male bra and vibrating neon yellow thong.

Sorry.

I might actually be in NY this August.

If so, my first plan is to visit the MnM store, pick some up, then visit Nikki and Hips and eat them off of their chocolate syruped bodies, and then rape Bob the day after. Best plan ever.

Oh. Whoever wants to stay a night in the city, just know that you can personally tell me to fuck off or to stick around if you need privacy: The PC protects its flock. And I am willing to sit on a hotel stoop for three or four hours after being advised not to ... interrupt you, if need be. Know in advance that you aren't being a dick/vagina and you can spell shit out for me straight up.

Mainly, for those who are going to stay a night, I also want to make certain you have ample transportation back to wherever it is you need to go. Simply put, if you have a good time, I'll have had a good time -- I'm not trying to babysit anyone/saying you aren't adults, but I want to see to it that no one feels particularly uncomfortable, nervous, shitty, etc.

.

Also, can someone post something slightly schizophrenic, quickly, so that no one notices that I made a serious post? Awesome.

(P.S. What I said though = seriously.)

What's the current deal w/ LM and the train? If he can get us free rides from CT we could look into car pooling to CT and taking the train into the city. That and the bus is only $18 a way, the bus kinda sucks, but it's a lot better if you go w/ someone.

Stanley Burrell
07-20-2010, 08:01 AM
Word. If you're not super far away, I can car pool a few people (local enough to New Haven) that day. Over to LM's and then we take the train. If worse comes to worse, I guess I could cross the bridge and pick folks up heading southbound. My only problem with that would be going from the Bx to Manhattan and parking prices after the ballgame (I am of the Jewish faith.)

I have a feeling this will work out though, one way or another.
