climbing out of Darkstone

So my young paladin is uphunting lesser stone gargoyles in Darkstone Castle. His gold ring didn't work, so he tried to climb his way out and, on three attempts, became quite seriously injured (couldn't climb the cliffs).

How many ::cough:: ranks of climb are required? I have only five (5) so far.

I don't know, but My wizard, with 10 ranks, failed a climb and died from a broken neck...

Course it probably didn't help that he was carying about 10 boxes on him.

Since then he uses a gold ring to teleport out.

Thanks for the tip. I wanted to check out Darkstone with my mage in the near future, but he's only at five ranks of climbing. I may put that off for a while.

Just use a ring to get out. It's a lot easier anyway.

Hell, I found out the other day that Traiva, with 32 ranks of Climbing, can fairly skip up that cliff while pretty heavily encumbered. But the only reason I make that climb is because I'm escorting a kid out; otherwise, I use 130 or 225.
