1620 ritual

Hiya,

So far I've tried 1620 one time without success.

I successfully set my anchor point to the Voln Courtyard, ...

While hunting in thunder trolls, I discovered a dead body. This was a bit dicey as there were critters still in the room. I poured a white flask into the dead body, held their hand (to make them a part of my group), and with my sword still in my right hand:

>incant 1620

The spell backfired. I went to an adjacent empty room and called for help on the amunet.

What did I do wrong?

You have to cast it at the corpse. Incant 1620 will just cast it at you.

For non-offensive spells that require a target, INCANT will never work. Spells that Paladins have access to that this is a rule for include: 1620, 1625, 116.

If you try INCANTing and it backfires, ALWAYS try the PREP/CAST @ target route.

What's the closest anchor to TSC in the Landing?

I have my anchor set to Voln Courtyard, but there's usually no one there, and, it seems, most of the raising occurs at TSC.

Probably the altar room in the temple (where you end up when you decay). You can anchor to Lorminstra there. Close to the town cleric too.

Not sure what else within town, you can maybe check on that garden west of the park, but that is just a guess. The temple one I know will work, though.
