I knew there was a reason I loved Barumples. His whole list plus:

Yellowcard, The Get Up Kids, Millencolin, The Used, Blink 182, Story of the Year, The Ataris, Saves the Day, Goldfinger.

I listen to a variety of music, depending on the mood I'm in.

Old fashioned rock plus arena tunes.

What was playing on my box last night:

Roundabout -- Yes
She Drives Me Crazy -- FYC
Sirius -- Alan Parsons Project
My City of Ruins -- Bruce Springsteen
Copperhead Road -- Steve Earle
Layla -- Derek and the Dominos
Walking In Memphis -- Don Henley
5 O'Clock World -- The Vogues
Enter Sandman -- Metallica

And the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack, which rocks the earth.

EDIT: Thanks to TOK who's less brain damaged than I am today.

Pagelinn I only know those bands because my best friend in highschool use to love Emo and Indie stuff. In fact, I visited her in Boston back in 2000 I think, and she made me go to a few EMO/Indie shows. Good times.

I've seen The Used pop up waaaaaay too much.

Those guys took everything that'd bad about 'emo' and got famous off of it.

Who the hell cares what other people like? I don't dictate my musical taste according to what hasn't popped up. If that was the case, I'm sure I'd be trying to pass "grindcore" off as a musical genre too.

Their lyrics are good and he has a good voice. Fame isn't the end all be all of music either way.

I always laugh when I read playlists with Peam bands on them, because I've NEVER HEARD OF ANY OF THEM. Except for like Yellowcard, because my brother's girlfriend is like  with them.

I agree.

Pearl Jam's a solid band, and they carry a decent message, most of the time.

Can't say I'm a huge fan, but they're better than a lot of radio-rock, a la Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Limp Bizkit, Three Doors Down, etc. etc. etc.

Check out the song "Spin The Black Circle" by them. It's pretty bomb.

Peam and Ambrosia are my current loves.

And yes, I like hs emo punk shit and I'm in college. :baa:

Indie rock though... The Decembris I recommend. Amazing.

Check out Planes Mistaken For Stars, if you're into that stuff. They're one of the best bands out there.

Excellent songs by them:

End Me In Richmond.
Fucking Fight.
Copper and Stars.
