Anyone know what this is worth? 7x, 21 pounds, hcp, incredible fire resistance. Also, can anyone tell me how resistant "incredibly" is?

You tap some shadowy black brigandine with a silver wolf's head protruding from the left pauldron, which is in your right hand.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the black brigandine in your hand, and you learn something about it...

The first thing that strikes you about the brigandine is the weight, which is about 21 pounds. In your best estimation, it's worth about 18,300,000 silvers. You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure of the black brigandine.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the black brigandine in your hand, and you learn something about it...

You sense a faint aura of magic around the black brigandine. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the brigandine is as some type of defensive garment.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the black brigandine in your hand...

It has a bonus of +35 from a normal brigandine, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it is rigid leather armor. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet. The black brigandine seems to have some sort of unusual protection against damage.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the black brigandine in your hand...

The harmonics generated tell you that the brigandine serves to reduce the severity of inflicted wounds.

As your song penetrates the black brigandine, you determine that it is incredibly resistant to fiery attacks.

You learn nothing new about the brigandine.

Probably added ranger resistance for fire protection.

It was like this when I got it, somewhere close to a year ago. How can I tell if it's ranger done or permanant?

a ranger can tell you

Turns out the armor is indeed ranger imbued. Not only that, but it's about to wear off. There goes one brilliant idea.

It's easy enough to get the resistance renewed. Any ranger could put 20%+ on it, for any of the four elements (nature, steam, fire, ice) that we can do. Some rangers can do much, much more. Regyy (75-95%) and Martin (RedOrc - 75%), if he's still around, for instance, or Odysia (55%ish), if she hasn't retrained.

Isn't Redorc a sorcerer?

 If I recall, he had a ranger (bought it?) a couple of years back that he trained for 620. I haven't seen him in a long time, though.

Thanks Fallen.

Yes I can do 70% nature resist. You'd need a ranger with 55 SMC ranks to put resistance on HCP armor.

My ranger is 100 SMC and 100 Blessing lore.
