incant / prep / channel

dunno right folder, but...

my cleric has incanted 302, etc. for ever and the mana cost to hunt undead is 2 mana per cast

i converted to charl from eonak yesterday, and today i noticed the same spell, incant 302, costs 4 mana...hmm...can someone point me to a link about incanting, channeling, etc. been looking for couple hours at play.net, nuttin

Smite is more effective against undead (http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Undead) targets, while Bane is suited better towards living enemies. If Bane is used against an undead target, or Smite is used against a living target, the spell will cost double (4 mana) with no chance of infusion. In addition, the first cycle's damage will be halved, and the second cycle's flare will be weaker. However, the chance to instantly kill the target remains regardless.

And just because the above post doesn't clearly state it, nor does the info on 302, I'm pretty sure Charl is a Bane Arkati (meaning hunting undead for you is now going to be more mana-intensive).

Hope you weren't too attached to those undead!

Asile is exactly right. I converted my Leya cleric to Charl, and hunt only the living now. Thal lightning flare is worth it.
