I just want to say that 9 hours of sleep feels so nice.

Of course I'll be lucky to get 5 tonight.

sometimes im lucky to get 5 hours of non-interrupted sleep, and very lucky to get 8 total hours of sleep a night, or day depending on what shift im working.

I was actually getting to bed at around 1am some nights (before getting up at 7). Then TVland put MacGyver back on, and pushed it from Midnight to 1am.

Evil TVland!

And evil Socom, which is why I'm up till 1am in the first place.

9 hours sleep is a fucking fantasy. I'm grateful if I get 6. I got 3 last night and 4 the night before and I'm fucked up.

I can function on 3 hours of sleep, but ideally I shoot for 6. As long as the amount of sleep I get is a multiple of 1.5 hours, I'm fine...

8. 8 is what's needed, 8 is the minimum, 8 is the maximum. I can get by with less for maybe a day. Then the itching starts.

I shoot to be in bed between 10 and 11, up at 4 for the gym. Sucked ass for the first two weeks but now I've got as much energy, if not more than when I was getting a solid 8.

9 hours feels good and sometimes you owe it to yourself to crash for 9 to 12 hours. Ahh those long days of sleeping when I was in school and we had a snow day. Wake up at 6:45 to find out school was cancelled. Wake up around 1 PM to eat some cereal and start the video games

I am happiest with eight hours but my damn mattress is old so I usually end up with about six. I really should go mattress shopping. I wonder how you get rid of the old mattress though.

Call your town hall and ask how disposal's handled. Some places take bulk pickups once a month or so, some places you have to call specially.

So, what happens if it is 5 or 7 hours?

I have trouble sleeping some nights. So, the nights I can sleep, I sleep as long as I can. Sometimes 12 hours. I normally like to get 8 when I can. (those 12 hour nights are rare) Hate those nights where I have to do something important early the next day and I don't know if I sleep or not. Even if I'm sleeping I'm dreaming I'm not sleeping and... oh this is getting too complicated and weird. Nevermind.

<<So, what happens if it is 5 or 7 hours?>>

You wake up in the middle of a sleep cycle and you're worse off than six or seven and a half hours.

Sleeping in a multiple of 90 minutes is, in fact, the way to go.

Just check around, some places will take the old one back with them.

There may be a fee, so be sure to ask.

I like even numbers! And even though 6 is an even number, it's not enough sleep for my old bod.

As the robot on Lost In Space would say... That does not compute... <runs off to take a 2 hour nap or something>

Thanks for not crediting me with that information, bitch.

And, like Edaarin, I time when I go to sleep so I will have slept in multiples of 1.5 hours. It makes getting up easier and functioning more feasable.

I shoot for 6 hours and thats usually enough. Though a 9 hour crash every now and then does wonders for your mental state.

I get up for work at 6:30 and I usually go to bed after 11. Weekends are rough cause I'll hang with my boyfriend or friends and i'll be out till 2-2:30 and still find myself waking up around 6:30-7. 9 hours felt oh so good. Tonight though will be a 5 hour sleeper. Oh well.

Recently I talked with some guy (who works at some place) about sleeping (because I'm bad at it) and he gave me a few tips, none of which had anything to do with "sleep cycles".

I pulled an all nighter the other night. I don't understand how people can do it. College students are supposedly made for it. I am a college student, and I can't function the next morning, then the morning after I end up taking a nap after my classes or else pass out.

I seriously have issues with being able to function when I do get 9 hours of sleep. When I get now, I'm retardation at its finest. Heheheeh.

In gemstone, you know I've been up too long if I f*ck up my typing incessantly.

Hmm, come to think of it. I always have issues with spelling and coherent sentences. I think Alfue rubbed off on me.

9 hours of sleep is dangerous for your health, eventually.

Too much is like too few.

Galleazzo

Gimme some of that danger then, I'd love it.

I used to be a total insomnia-boy. Good for an allnighter every 10 days or so. Not as bad now but I still get one once a month and I'm for shit the next day.

I almost always get sufficient sleep. Try to go to bed between 12:30-1. Wake up around 9-9:30.

I got 9 hours last night, and I feel wonderful. I even woke up more than 45 minutes before work!

As a university student I've found it nearly impossible to get over 6 hours of sleep at anytime in the past six months, and that's including in class naps, out of class naps, during meal naps, and studying naps. It's ridiculus, I miss my weekend sleep ins!

However I guess not everyone cares so much..take Kranar for example..now there's some twisted sleeping habits. You should ask him about that.

Oooh! A bit of dirt, eh? Kranar, do tell us about your sleeping habits! I am all ears! :D

Laura, you're gonna get banned if you keep taunting Kranar this way. Well, maybe not but I don't want you risking it. I know the power is gone and that must suck but be a good girl now. I would miss you if you got blocked.

5-6 hours sleep a night and i'm in fine fighting form.

More can be nice, but also can just make me sleepy at times.

Devon Update:

As of March 24th, I am officially going on 4 and half hours of sleep from the previous night. I want to nap, but my naps aren't healthy - They're at the LEAST 3 hours long. Then I wake up the bitchiest little gal you'll ever meet, and it doesn't wear off until I go back to sleep.
