Today, the 22nd, was my B-day. I had class from 8 to noon, at 1 - 4 pm I had CPR class and from 4 to 5:30, I had a convocation on the religous point of view on vocation.
So, at 5:30, I decide to be good to myself because nobody else will. I get carded, I turned 33 today, and the waitresses make me stand on a barstool and sing something about washing my ass with a bar of soap.
I get home and people I used to work with as a medic called me and wished me a happy b-day. The people I used to work with 4 years ago called me and wished me a happy b-day and the last group of people i worked with called and wished me a happy b-day.
I never kept much in touch with these people because they never really kept in contact with me. Still, I'm suprised people still think of me when I haven't seen them in well over a year.
I just felt so good after hearing all these people on my answering machine, reading their emails and receiving cards, I can't help but think I have made some sort of impact on someone's life.
Do you feel the same? Have you done or felt the same? discuss....
