There are "novice maps" which have high-health destructible rocks blocking choke points, ramps, entraceways, etc--to prevent rushing.

BUT THOSE ARE FOR NOOBS, MAN!

Actually, if you don't suck, and because all buildings create solid walls on a grid now (unlike SC1), it's very easy to block off ramps and choke points.

My favorite build right now is just a 1 gate into tech build with Protoss, but I block my ramp such that 1 zealot could defend against like 10 zerglings if he had to.

I got a beta key today whoo whoo. Not sure how much time I'll have to play though.

I've had the beta for about 2 weeks and haven't played once. All my gaming time has been devoted to Mass Effect 2 and FF XIII. Just no interest in SC2.
