Mace vs Wahammer?

Any reason to use a mace instead of a warhammer? Looks like from KP, that the warhammer stats are better.

I ask because someone recommended a mace over a warhammer, but I don't remember why. This is for TWC, by the way

Warhammer does crush/puncture damage whereas mace does crush only. Crush damage requires a rank 5 crit to the head/neck for an instant kill. Puncture requires a rank 6 critical. If you have a mixture of the two it increases the average endroll required to get a crit-kill (to crunch the numbers accurately you need to know what ratio the two are randomized to).

The actual advantage may vary depending upon DF, the defender's armor, what area you're aiming for, how well you can aim for the area, or, if unaimed, what the average crit-kill rank is.
