So I re-opened my premium account from when I last retired. It has 16 characters on the account which was my merchant account along with locker mule accounts...

So I have 16 characters in houses with full lockers, wearing full heavy backpacks, full VLA cloaks, and holding either a full VLA cloak or heavy backpack. Most of the stuff I think is just junk and I am weeding that out. All of the items should be pre 2002 so who knows what any of it is worth.

Anyways, what I am looking for is if I were to run the auction through the board by just providing a link like:

http://mid-gareth.net/gemstone/

Where people just copy/paste the item name they want to bid on, is that easier for bidders or should I spend the time formatting a post?

Please note: Anything you see on the link I posted is going to be in the sale if/when I get to it. Nothing is up for sale yet even though it looks official. Right now its just my note taking site.

I am looking for a price on 8x HCP metal breast plate. I found 2 sets in my lockers and a price for one of the god auctioned scripted tomes.

Thanks.

I would format a post and put it up here. You'll have a lot of potential customers who just aren't interested in bothering with yet another website in order to bid on items. There's also another big reason to post here.

Posting here, to a higher degree than on the officials, provides something of a guarantee that people will get what you say they'll get. It doesn't really guarantee it of course, but it does guarantee that you'll get called on it if it isn't what you said it was, and that gives people a higher level of confidence that people aren't going to screw with them. Reputation is a big deal. Screw with people here and you'll lose it fast. Do your deals and your auctions promptly and fairly and you'll have it in spades.

Oh for sure.

I am not saying the auction wouldn't take place here. I am just saying people would pull up the list from the note taking site, as there is no way to just bid there.

And basically cross post it here saying they want to bid on it. My post would then basically edit to add items people actually want with current bids. So the auction would grow from the original post.

But I see your point and I was leaning towards formatting it for here, its just going to be a crapton of stuff I bet people won't care about.

Only post the stuff people will care about.

if you're going to have to 'edit' the post here to include what people tell you about, then why not just copy/paste it all here, and just edit out what people don't want.. You'd be surprised what people will spend coin/cash on.

Good point.

So yeah I will just put stuff up as I get it together.

Also, on the 8x HCP MBP, I am not entirely sure what the price will be, but it should be good! I think that around 75 million seems about right. Nice sets of MPB are a lot less common than Full Plate, but the demand is a little less too. I think that works in your favor some, but it probably washes out since a lot of plate wearers view MBP as a stepping stone instead of a set of end-game armor, so they're a little less likely to pay a lot for the MBP.

All that said, 75m is a decent chunk of change.

I think 75 mill is rather high.. I'd say more like 55-65, of course there have been a few rogues that were wanting MBP

A set of 6x full plate sells for about 30-35m. I figure 8x mbp is incrementally harder to find. Hence the much higher price. Hard to tell in this market though. Toss it up forsale and see what happens. Heck, especially if you have two sets as stated. Sell one and keep the other for a while.
