Because they like to rape young up-and-comers who want to learn. You can find some of them online if you look hard enough. I used to just buy used old versions from someone who needed money for beer or something. Or just not buy the book and use the library when I needed it. I would say half my classes that required you to have the book never used it anyway. They're usually the same, without some bullshit added so they can sell it for more. I actually believe this is a HUGE issue with people getting an education.

Yeah, my bad. I just read the title. I'll use my Google Fu and get the full 7th edition for ya. No need for a prize. Just give me a bit of time.

I doubt there's any real differences between editions ;p

You're probably right. Somehow i've managed to keep a pretty solid GPA this semester and I don't want to fudge it up just yet.

No wonder there's been a blackhawk flying above my house for the last hour.

Make friends in class, go in on it together. Libraries are good, but someone is going to grab the book you need by the end of term, it's the prisoner's dilemma. I have less experience with English courses, but it works great for physics and English is physics at root just like everything else, so you can assume it'll work without loss of generality.

My colleges offer them through the online libraries. I was under the impression most colleges do. I have to buy them anyways because I'm a mechanical learner. I have to hold something and take it apart to learn it. It is practically a disability in this electronic age. So I will always read paper books if I want to retain the knowledge. Anyways, yeah. Check with the dorks in your school who know about that stuff. Activities board or whatever.

I can buy the book that's no problem, I'd just rather not. After this test we won't be using it again.

Surely there's gotta be some piratebay kinda person who's cut up entire textbooks, pdf'd 'em, and put 'em out there?
What a scam, what a sham it is, the college textbook/textbook buy-backs. Fight the power. Attica, attica, fight the Man.

I've found large collections of science-related college textbooks on Demonoid, generally packaged in very large collections. These are books that cost closer to $130-200 each, though.
Politics just doesn't seem as popular in the pirating community.

This is a sad day. I figured there would be some l337 pirates here who would be able to help.

Now I never take these missions of my google fu lightly. Because honestly I don't think anyone out there can do it better than me.
I think I have found your book but since I don't play GS anymore what other compensation can you give me?
I'm only jking, I'm still trying to decide if it's the right edition or not. I found 4th but this one is taking awhile to download.

Okay. The book is not sold Via the Internet/Ebooks so I am gathering unless someone took the time to type it up or photocopy all the pages or it was stolen from the lab you will not find this book on the interwebz.
I don't usually come up empty handed, but when I do it's because it's not out there. I didn't fail, the mission was merely impossible.
But I did find this site and I think it would be useful.

I'd rather read it from the comfort of my house rather than putting in 2 hours of travel time to Boston and back.

Was I the only person that drew pictures in the books before I sold them back to the bookstore?

Midterm done, think I did ok on it, like 4 out of 5 questions right. Completely screwed up the definition for a causal relationship though.

What college are you going to? I've been considering going back to school, and I really want to make sure I avoid wherever you are.

my sister is in grad school and has been buying all her books via Ebay. She sometimes gets a profit selling them after she's done.

I'm aware of all the half.coms and cheggs and whatnot when it comes to buying books on the cheap. I just didn't know of any last minute options that didn't require shipping or outright purchasing.
