Population status?

So what's the population of plat looking like now? Early morning late night time and prime time is my biggest interest. A screen shot or copy paste of a who full to know who's around would be cool too.

Also what ever happened with the Obsidian Tower and the Douche Gobblers that wanted to hit the back space on it's code?

20-40 during primetime, sometimes approaching 50. Early morning and late night, it is down about 10.

The plat OT? I believe what happened with them is that they converted to a MHO, and were allowed to keep their structure without having to reduce it in size. I'm not sure what they had to give up to reach that outcome, but last I spoke with one of their people, they seemed happy with the situation.

How about the platinum gm's? Do they do plat justice? I never stuck around after that one guy who hated plat was put in charge of it.

Naionna does an awesome job. She (and the other GMs, Itzel and Kaikala come to mind) have been doing a lot of storyline/RP related interactions lately. Nearly every time I log in something is going on.

I came back to GS about 6 months ago, after about 12 years away, and I have to say, the current GM's are great. In plat, at least, they are, that is

Hey Mal, its Zablin. The approaching 50 in prime time seems a bit aggressive. I haven't played in about a year but was told 20-25 in primetime is more accurate.

I been back about two months and the 40-50 range is more accurate during primetime. The GM's have been really good at trying to interact and involve some different storylines in.
I think at the moment, there is like Three going on. ( I think one just ended last night though).

Most times when I log in during prime time it seems to hover around the 30s. Of that half the people are AFK and a quarter of them are Jay.

During the day you are looking at 4-12 people on. About 30% of those are multi's usually.

The highest I've seen on was 36 people during the evening. I've not seen anything approaching 50. I'd wager that those 36 were probably 20% multi.

I loved Plat, but it is just a ghost town anymore.

That being said, you can usually find RP during the evenings if that is your thing. But honestly, you have a better chance in Prime simply because of the population. I've been in RR the past two weeks and have had no shortage of it.

Just trying to get Malgaftan reactivated right now. Honestly, I never expected to call their billing office and be on hold for 66 minutes and 52 seconds...53 seconds...54 seconds.

I would never have imagined they were so busy that their mailbox would be full and they would be over an hour behind on phone calls less than an hour after opening the office.

Umm, if you have not read the boards, they are doing a server location move today, so they probably have every employee (all 3 of them) working on that today, considering that they are physically moving everything.

Ya know, I started to play prime and realized my highest level character is 24. Factor in that it's a dwarf mage just like my 74th level plat character and I just couldn't see doing the same thing twice.
I think part of what keeps bringing me back is that not only do ALL the people I know that play are in plat. It's also that I'm finally so close to seeing parts of the game I've never been to or experienced before.

However I do keep trying to think of another rp concept for another character. I did totally decide my play time would be spent in RR though if I end up choosing that route. Probably something I might do when I tire of playing my plat character. It just seems dismal though. I don't have the time I had when I made my plat character.

So far, since I've been back in plat I have gotten to visit 3 merchants. Had work done twice by two of them. Been involved in defending two towns from invaders. Found one creature/box found item. Received 3 rpa's.

I guess in short you could say I'm digging it.

Heh, thats cool, i still remember when Sot gave me the tour of what wasn't open in Plat so I could fix some of it. Took us hours.

Haha, yeah we talked about how he was great at finding stuff and places players weren't meant to ever find. He was in the game all of 10 minutes last night before he was checking and messing with things I doubt anyone but him even knows about anymore.

Huh, I remember Sot from back when plat first came about. I had a cleric named Corin, who always spoke in the third person back then ('This humble monk passes you greetings of the day', etc...)

Funny thing, Sot, was mentioned in one of the recent Plat events; ghosts had been awakened in the area, and were around for probably a good month or so, and one of the ghosts was always complaining about how 'That damned Sot had cheated him again' or something like that.

Hey Guys,
I've been sucked into the corporate world over the past couple of years.

It is great to be back. So many familiar faces around. Rahsh, Malg, Kimli, Myrefalcon from prime. it is so cool reminiscing about all the neat things I'd find in the game.

One thing that killed me is no matter how hard I looked in plat, the real gems came so far and few between. I think I found 2, with the exception of 1 being a duplicate that got copied from prime which was actually found by my good friend Zemnh.

For all the things I loved about Plat I'll never forget the great community we built years ago. My IM list was as long as my arm!
