'True' Black ora?

How much would a OHE 'true' black ora weapon run me? Also, is there any way to tell it's 'true' before buying it?

only way of telling, is to see if you can stow it....if it stays stuck to your hand it's 'true' black ora...have to uncurse it to put it away

I'd expect to pay 12m-15m for a lesser true black ora ohe, if it's of a decent weapon base. Don't know about the greater true black ora weapons, though I believe there's one, a bastard sword?, in a shop right now for 50m. Hope that helps.

Do lessers have flares? Or is that just strictly for the 'true' ones?

there are lesser true's and greater trues. Both have mana disrupt flares.

the greater black ora weapons are higher enchant...can't remember if the lessers can be enchanted above the base

I see, I see. After doing some looking through the shops I see a ton of black ora weapons, I'm simply assuming that most of them aren't flaring and are just dyed.

Not dyed but there were/are a bunch of black ora critter found weapons that don't have the properties of true black ora.

There was a lesser black ora bastard sword up for auction recently. The 10m MB wasn't met. As far as greater black ora (white too), they tend to be in the 30m+ range. Maybe less on a crappy base.

Nope, it wasn't. However, I did have around 50 bids of:

'oh I'll have it next week'
'I'll give you 9.1'
'i'll give you N and 1 million silvers'

So there was definitely interest, but, I really wasn't going to go below 10m because I believe that it is worth at least that much. If not, it will just continue to sit in my locker :)

the 'lesser' black ora will flare. The information on Krakii is somewhat misleading in one aspect though. Lesser black ora provides a bonus to mana regen and a penalty to spirit regen. The wisdom (I think it's wisdom, whatever stat it is) bonus only occurs on GREATER black ora. I had this confirmed by GMs and former GMs that are nice enough to answer questions about items they've created.

"True" black ora weapons are scripted and whisper, and randomly knock you over and all kinds of shit. They also curse to your hand every time you pick them up.

Sticking to your hand is what 'regular' black ora does only when first picked up. They stop cursing after the first decurse.

12-15 sounds about right for the 4x.. there are a few 5x versions of weapons I've seen go for upwards of 18-22mil in the last few years. (for true black ora weapons)

Regular black ora.. you get the 'cool' factor, but you can't bless them.
