Anyone play this? It's a DoTa/HoN/Demigod type game. ( multi player battle arena )
Started playing HoN back in July/August. Came across this game recently. Tons of customization. It's almost RPGish in the sense that you gain exp/lvls per game and you have skill trees like World of Warcraft on top of a fully customizable rune book.
You earn points ( ingame currency ) to unlock heroes and items or you can purchase them for money. The game is free itself by the way. Heroes are rotated every now and then to try them out before purchasing.
The game is nice because it isn't a straight copy of DoTa. And it's definitely not linear with all the added aspects of customizing your "summoner"
Two things I found interesting besides the runebooks/skill trees is that they removed "denying" due to ranged heroes having an advantage over melee and they wanted to level the playing field. Also if you take too long to destroy a lane barracks respawn.
The game is really cartoony as far as graphics/models are concerned probably since the one of the main designers was a lead in WoW models.
Found this game recently after coming to terms that HoN is still in beta and being stuck at 1800 psr and will be reset once it goes live is becoming a nuisance unless you're clanning.
LoL is free. The game is fairly new ( couple months old ) as far as going live. But it's been in beta since early 2009.
